Breaking: Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed fired by PM

You can't say it's mitti pao attitude. They just want people to rise against NS and Zardari.

They have sent one minister home. They have sent a strong message that don't point your fingers towards us. We are neutral and want to remain neutral.

Key note: At least Raheel Sharif will not take any action

I also think so...Gen Raheel Sharif will not take any action...especially because of his family legacy... He is more interested in protecting tht, than Pakistan.. He doesnt want to be remembered as a dictator or any one who intervened in any way, even if not martial law.. He just wants to be remembered as professional(?) soldier, who doesnt have any controversy... Thts it... For him, his family legacy is more important, than anything else....

What difference will NRO (or absence of it) make?

Musharaf's worst decision was NRO and letting these scums return. He could have banned all the old political guard and started a new democratic system.

Do you want the likes of Maryam as our future PM? If we are hell-bent on destroying Pakistan, then yeah by all means let's have a shower of NROs and let this style of democracy continue.

.
Can few words..be forever eliminated from our ruling elite's dictionary?

Matti pao
Jamhooryat ka husn
Muzammat
Notice le liya
Committee bana di
Commission ban gaya
Aahini haathon se nibta jaaye ga

These words can only be eliminated if:

We bring land reforms
A large percentage of our population has completed 10th grade
Only degree qualified people have the right to contest in elections
Only degree qualified people have the right to vote

And for above, you will have to wait till hell freezes.

@bold... Sad but true

Maryam? I don't even want to think about her being my housemaid.

NRO was brought because there were countrywide protests started by institutions, and all major political parties against an "on duty military administrator".

None of us want this NRO democracy to continue..but who are we? Does our army want to intervene in a meaningful manner, even if behind the scenes, to get rid of this system?

In my opinion..its also a moral obligation on our generals to help us, get rid of this system...because..it was Gen Musharraf and Gen Kiyani, who along with international power brokers brought this NROed democracy on us... But unfortunately..theres no sign on ground..tht our army wants to do this.. They are posing themselves as neutral and more interested in being seen as professional soldiers only...and not interested in helping us...if we see the signs..

And this happened only after Musharraf became weak and had been in power far too long using these scums who eventually brought him down. He wasn't even a popular COAS when he took over but managed to last 9yrs.

Martial law is not the only way to get rid of Nawaz and Co, and replace this system.

Yaar actually, to tell you the truth, dogs have hired IB against Army. They have created rifts between institutions. Army has tried in the past (in 2014) to help IK, but they were caught.

The way US and India are helping our government, we can't even imagine.

To be honest, I am very hopeful for the coming 2nd November. We are all forgetting Allah swt Who is the best of all planners.

@bold... Like what? Do u see any signs.right now....of our generals taking interest...and doing something behind the scenes, to help us get rid of this system? :(

@Farah Sohail @Verve

My only worry (and Army's worry as well) is that these scumbags do not hurt Khan on 2nd Nov. This time they want to go to any extent.

I dont think so... At max they will house arrest or arrest him, and not let him go out....

My biggest worry is...because of reluctance of army to act, even behind the scenes...pak will suffer hugely... The longer, the system persists...greater the danger... And army will be equally responsible for this, along with politicians

If Army does take over, I do not think it will be a long term thing. It will write a temporary constitution and bring the civilians to the front. And it is this civilian setup that will be made to clean up and devise a long term democratic system.

There is nothing like true Peoples' rising in today's modern world to disrupt things. To best of my understanding, it is always backed by international or local establishment who wants to change things. If they are not backed by either of these two, the situation will eventually be status quo. Prime example is Egypt.

In post 9/11 era's Pakistan, almost everything regarding political setup is micromanaged by International establishment and local establishment is usually only a facilitator. In rare cases like memo gate and recent Maryam gate, they get a chance to gain the space which they eventually lose due to inaction or waiting for the right moment or for some personal gains. Kyani wasted the chance in memo gate which to be honest wasn't as disgusting as current maryam gate and Raheel is most likely another Kyani for whatever personal gains he will get due to this Mitti Pao scheme.

This time however THAT international establishment is China and not USA anymore. Alliances have changed since the last NRO. Kiyani is gone and so is USA. Pakistan current establishment is heavily tilted towards China.

Pakistan has survived the sanctions in the past, where establishment didn't listen to West and didn't accept any lollipops either for not doing the nuclear tests.

If international establishments are so blindly followed, then Pakistani establishment should happily dismember Pakistan for them as that's what those Western establishments want.

Pribably china also doesnt want change at this time, because they dont want CPEC to be disrupted

I have long been rooting for this.... But Do u really see any chance of this happening? Any sign..of this, by looking at the behavior and actions of our current military leadership?
