I LOVE THIS PLANE

if the F 18 gets MMRCA tender, then this will be a good option otherwise its better to go for F 35 ...

Very interesting development !!!
where is the source??????

Actually it is not surprising at all, by the fact that it is the same fighter that is offered for IAF in MMRCA. The F18SH and the Rafale are the only fighters that are operational (Mig 29K is not a Mig 35, because the airframe is meant to be different, let alone that is was not meant for catapult take offs) and can be used for IAC2 too, so if MoD wants commonality, these are the obvious choice for IN too.

. . .
I think we need F35 not F18 cause navy dnt need so many fighters

Max 40-50 so F35 is right choice i guess .. or just wait of N-FGFA

Lockheed Martin is also hopeful that the U.S. administration will approve its request to offer the F-35B or F-35C carrier version to India, replacing the Indian Navy fleet of Sea Harrier. India had already floated a request for information (RFI) for a carrier based fighter plane earlier this year. India is planning to launch several new aircraft carriers through the decade. For the near term, MiG-29K was selected as the principal naval aviation fighter aircraft.

The US will probably kill the F35 completely after the costs are getting higher and higher and UK cancelled their order and switched to the C version. So when even the biggest partner in the F35 development has no hope for the B, it should be clear that it is no option for us too.
IN will defenitely go with the MMRCA winner and not for such an expensive fighter that comes with a lot of restrictions. I bet on Rafale, or F18SH!

I think we already order mig29k for IAC1 so for IAC2 we need aircraft in 2016-17 so i dnt think navy in so much hurry

Just wait and watch Rafale, F18, F-35, N-FGFA(May be after 2016)

Navy will get best out of best

I think mig-29k would operate from vikramaditya..for IAC 1 we have naval Tejas.
