Blast in a Mosque in Peshawar: 50 people injured

Solution or point of view.

You can blame Army for everything, I don’t. You have your reasons, i have mine.

Anyone stopping you from cursing COAS right now ? No, so go ahead and shower your vocabulary.
Take out your frustration but air strikes in Afghanistan is not the complete solution to the issue.

There is no solution other than military solutions. We saw last year a few air strikes on TTP and their jahil family members led these pigs to come to the negotiating table for a ceasefire within a day.

We need 100+ air strikes each representing every martyr taken in the past week. You will see these TTP pigs beg for mercy I promise you. That is the only language they understand.

Air strikes conducted April 30th 2022-

Within 30 days negotiations started and concluded with UNILATERAL ceasefire by Beginning of June 2022-

I am surprised you are a DEFENCE CONSULTANT on this forum, giving generic replies. Talking of the same crap we have heard since the past 2 decades while 100k+ pakistanis are already in their grave... what a joke.

From inside Punjab, it seems Punjab is the only civil province. The rest are all wild wests.

Worst part is the immense tax revenue and wealth generated in Punjab + Karachi is not even spent in those areas!!!

Sialkot alone exports 5 billion USD annually in products. Yet anyone who has any health issue has to drive all the way to LAHORE. Not even a half decent hospital or educational institute in all of Sialkot. Same can be said for Faisalabad.

If our government had any brain or willingness to increase exports they would implement the Sialkot/Faisalabad model in every district of south punjab + sindh+ KP which have access to so much labor as well as river waters. Balochistan is a lost cause until we have major resettlement from Punjabis there.

I am not saying other provinces have grievences but why are theres only talked about? Punjabis should quit being little babies and stand up for their paramount interest as well especially when they are financing the rest of the state!

RIP to all those who lost their lives. May their soul rest in peace.
I guess Pakistan lost an opportunity to work with western powers when we were still present in Afghanistan and trying to stabilise the country and get rid of those radical islamists and make the country more moderate and stable. Both sides(U.S/NATO forces amd Pakistan military on other side) could have basically squash them from both sides if they worked together, but i understand Pakistani establishment also had its reason for habouring and covertly supporting these islamist/radical fighters or turning a blind eye back then. Geopolitics at play I guess. Well, remains to be seen if that was the right decision.
Anyway, Now that Western powers have all left and the Taliban and other radical islamists groups who were hiding in Pakistan and using the country as a base,/refuge to launch attacks on western powers in Afghanistan now took power and are in full control of the country. Guess it will now be difficult for Pakistan to tackle this issue without intervening militarily in Afghanistan where TTP fighters might find refuge/use as a logistics and refuge center to launch attacks and carry on the fight against Pakistanis state. Seems the tables have now turned as well, and the country will be the one at the receiving end like NATO forces suffered in Afghanistan from militants using Pakistanis soil back then.

We can only hope, things won't get too bad for the country, considering the dire/almost bankrupt economic state the country is already in.

Agreed, Pakistan lost a golden opportunity. Infact Pakistani military itself should have invaded and occupied these scums in Afghanistan.

You see most Pakistanis dont have much knowledge of history. The Afghan state policy since 1947 has always been to leverage and provide bases to anti-pak forces. Whether it was pashtun nationalist, baloch nationalist, socialist militias (Murtaza bhutto), and today TTP. Different Afghan govt have come and gone whether the monarchist, communist, taliban, or replublic yet the official policy vis via Pakistan has always remained the same IE leveraging internal conflicts in Pak in order to put pressure on the pakistani govt.

The only time this did not happen was during the 90s when the first taliban came. The reason the first taliban govt was unable to follow this policy was simple... They were to busy fighting the Northern Alliance/other anti taliban groups so they couldnt even focus on Pakistan to begin with. Pak joining the WOT was the final nail in the coffin vis via Pak-Taliban relations.

Simply put since PAK joined the WOT, in the taliban eyes this was the biggest betrayal for them... I mean think about it. Pakistan arrested many taliban leaders, pakistan targetted/arrested their family members, Pakistan govt went after their businesses/homes. Mullah Baradar himself was in a pakistani jail for more than 15 years.... You tell me if you were in Talibans shoes would you ever forget what the Pakistani Govt put you/your family through???

Idiot generals cannot understand simple history/concepts. In all likelihood Pakistani generals NEVER FORSAW TALIBAN SWIFTLY TAKING ALL OF AFGHANISTAN. That is why Pakistan was always pushing for a political settlement where there would have been a power sharing deal between different factions. Reason being in Afghanistans history in such situation these factions would have been focused on outdoing one another and would have never focused on Pak. The first Taliban govt of the 90s only controlled half of Afghanistan.

That equation has all but changed. Today Taliban govt is the first afghan govt in last 40 years that controls almost every province of Afghanistan with an Iron fist including Panjshir. The taliban dont need Pakistan. Pakistan no longer provides economic utility for them, Pakistan no longer provides weapons to them, Afghan economy is better than Pakistan even when under international sanctions, infact 1 afghani=3+ Rupees today. Simply put in there eyes/logic Pakistan is a cakewalk for them and rightfully so...These people have fought the likes of the soviets/US/NATO, in there mind what is bankrupt corrupt Pakistan to them???

Pakistans best interest would have actually been to support the Northern Alliance, a figure Like Abdullah Abdullah would easily have resolved the durand line issue and been pro pak. But internally Pakistan would have faced minority (Pashtun) backlash.... Problem is Afghanistan has always used pashtuns in Pak against its govt whereby Pakistan never used the Farsis in Afghanistan against these pashtuns as it rightfully should have. Our interest aline with the Farsis far more than these ethnic facist pashtun afghans.

Going forward whats done is done. It is history now coulda shoulda woula. Going forward Pak needs to adopt a strict policy of utilizing drones, ISI, Airstrikes, SSG when dealing with the present Taliban govt. There is no other solutions

Lastly the West including US/UK/NATO should fully support Pakistan, including economically+ militarily. If tomorrow Pak falls the Islamic Emirate that would be the biggest geopolitical threat to the West, far bigger threat than Ukraine falling to Israel. Just imagine Taliban armed with the worlds 6th largest military including 200+ nuclear warheads. Your interest in the region would be finished. Worst than that the tens of millions of women in pak today that are able to get an education, work, or go to school will no longer have the same freedom and rights. The West was able to provide Ukraine hundreds of billions of dollars ONLY CUZ YOU SAW THE THREAT AT YOUR DOORSTEPS. You dont see the future threat if Pakistan becomes part of this Islamic Emirate that Pakistan has the technical knowhow today to develop ICBMS with multiple warheads.... So the west should support Pakistan against Afghanistan to the same degree it supports Ukraine. No more ifs and buts or blame games. There is no time left for that or we will all suffer future consequences. Today its Pak but tomorrow it will easily be the WEST.

The reason I am laying all this out to you is because you have had great education being in the UK, talking to these Pakistanis and explaining/pleading to them is like talking to a wall.

Pakistan mosque blast: 100 confirmed dead in marathon search of rubble

100 plus deaths..but no one will wake up...priorities priorities...Corp Commanders meeting ended with usual statements.

.
In a post on Twitter, a commander for the group, Sarbakaf Mohmand, claimed responsibility for one of the deadliest attacks on security forces in recent months.

But more than 10 hours later, TTP spokesperson Mohammad Khurasani distanced the group from the bombing, saying it was not its policy to target mosques or other religious sites, adding that those taking part in such acts could face punitive action under TTP’s policy. His statement did not address why a TTP commander had claimed responsibility for the bombing.

What this means and where this will take Pakistan?

. .
Time for complete solution has been wasted few times already.

Now threat assessment and perception needs to guide the actions, and I am sure, with your expertise you would understand that, under present circumstances without disabling command and control structure with training facilities, cutting in flow. we will never get the time needed for long term or permanent solution.

I hope, above is enough, bcoz I am sure you have the ability to expand and comprehend what is said in 2 lines.

From news :
At the same time, the top political leadership has also called for a consensus to launch a nationwide operation for rooting out terrorism and nip it in the bud before the country goes back to an era when daily blasts took several lives.

So basically leadership can give a you a lollipop of a strike in Afghanistan or they can start a nationwide operation.

Let’s see.

Pakistan falls under primary AOR of Pak Military and Intelligence, they do not need permission to perform their primary role. Might be a favorite lollipop for some, but not for, with functional brain cells.

Political concusses might be needed for cross border operations, but this excuse or lollipop is only for some, Military never cared about Political Leadership, when it had to do something.

Yes agree. However I don't think the West has anymore appetite to get involved much in that region after the Afghanistan debacle. We are too preoccupied today with many things to ever focus again in your region to be honest. For one there is the Russian challenge and war in Ukraine and the Coming China's rise which will be our focus or the foreseeeble future. Pakistan lost the opportunity to work with us when they had the chance and the West was willing to do the necessary back then. We just dont have that will anymore today . The U.S/West spent hundreds of billions of dollars and material aid/equipments trying to stabilise Afghanistan and make it more governable/moderate and set up education for the country (women included) and establish a ground foundation on which the country can at least try to join the modern world and get rid of its extremists/jihadists and islamists radicals. Pakistan should have fully supported NATO forces and join the West in crushing those Talibans and other Islamic extremists who were openly using Pakistan as their base/logistics centre/refuge from where they could carry on their fight in Afghanistan against Western forces and make a new Afghan government ungovernable. Instead Pakistans establishment was playing a double game, NATO forces called on Pakistan countless times to cooperate and join forces to eliminate this threat, but Pakistan refuted them time and again by instead supporting these same radicals/militants who are now causing havoc in Pakistan. As I said, Pakistan's establishment might have had its geopolitical reasons for doing so, but remains to be seen if that was the right thing to do for the country long term wise.
What Pakistan failed to realised is that an unstable neighbour or a neighbour ruled by radical elements with an outdated ideology like the Talibans can never be a good thing for Pakistan. A country needs a peaceful prosperous environment to thrive. You think if China was surrounded by backward radical ideological ruled unstable countries like Afghanistan which would have had an impact on the country itself then there is no way they could have grown and developed the way they did this past 5 decades. Investors/Western and Asian companies would have never set up their companies/productions or invested their billions there. They are lucky their neighbours facing their most populous sides are advanced forward looking countries like Taiwan, S.Korea, Japan, ASEAN countries etc or even Vietnam which is still stable, peaceful and ruled by a strong central government oriented on economic development. Reason they can all work together trade and move forward. Paksitan's establishment seems to have forgotten that.

A country needs a stable environment fiest and foremost to even have a chance of development. Pakistan already failed at that , since you are basically surrounded on 2 sides by instability, you have a hot war border with India sulking off the little state public capital you have to maintain military infrastructure on that front to fight India and an unstable Afghanistan ruled by a backward islamist group like the Taliban, where islamists radical militants can find refuge and thrive. There is no way the country can ever move forward. I have not even mentioned your own internal problems which are too many to even talk about on here. I think at this rate in a decade or two from now, if the country continues the way it has been this past years, Pakistan will be left far behind by everyone and be the last country in South Asia ON EVERY DEVELOPMENT METRICS ONE CAN THINK OF. It will then seem Bangladesh who got it independence just over 4 decades ago and was way behind made a good choice to get their self rule.
