Bill Revoking Overseas Pakistanis Voting Rights Presented in National Assembly by Imported Government

.
.,.,.
The cabinet meeting with fugitive sitting in London can be convened in UK, but ordinary Pakistanis sitting in London cannot vote.
Shame on them.......

. . .
As you said majority are from Azad Kashmir so they will vote in Azad Kashmir elections? I am not sure as AJK have their own assembly and prime minister. Secondly, you’re counting British Born Pakistanis people as well. They don’t even have NICOP so how can they cast vote and what will be their constituency? I think all parties need to sit together and come up with workable solution.

The elders have NICOP their kids have the SNICOP. Everyone I know is a holder and it's the norm in the community.
As for elections people on paper can't vote in the Pakistani elections but still manage to. Many have business interests outside AJK, homes (huge number of Islamabad homes) etc.

.
Why should we bail out Pakistan always when it won’t even give us the right to vote or respect us?

We’re not millionaires here, every penny we send to Pakistan costs us here. We struggle to make ends meet and work pay check to pay check but still because of our love for Pakistan we set aside money to put into accounts like Rohsan Digital or to invest in Pakistan. We don’t do all this just for an imported government to disrespect us and not give us the right to vote.

If you want our remittances, give us right to vote.
And for people saying remittances are for our family not for Pakistan, we have 101 ways of sending money back home and before Imran Khan, the best option was Hawala/Hundi. We can go back to that but it’ll hurt Pakistan’s economy the most.

.
This is interesting. But the Naya Pakistan accounts seem like fixed deposit in a national bank. Only way for the account to loose money is if Pakistani state declares bankrupt. In other cases, depositors should be able to sue the government. So people need not worry as long the interest offered by these accounts accurately capture the risk of sovereign default
Last time when PMLN government froze the foreign accounts, it instructed the banks to pay the customers in Pak Rupees at a fixed foreign exchange rate rather than the foreign currency itself, or the current rate.

At one point, the foreign exchange holders were paid less than 50 Pak Rs for a dollar when it was being sold at more than 80 Rupees.

So even if they don't default, but instruct the participating banks to pay in Pak Rupees at the rate when the deposit was made, they can legally do so by passing one order from the assembly.

Foreign pakistanis are ghaddar

Yes. We also have favorites.

I remember this very clearly. All dollar accounts were frozen by ganjoo. When was this? Must be a long while ago.

We are still bad in rating because of that defualt

Well, I won't be sending any money through this channel anymore.
You shouldn't stop sending the money to your family members.. Also don't stop sending charity to organizations such as Edhi or Chhippa. Remember.. Pakistanis are not liking the new government at all..

What you should do is.. stop any unnecessary investments.. because you may lose a lot in the coming months.

Yes. We also have favorites.

My father lost a lot.. His EOS was transferred from Bank of America and next week ganja froze the accounts.. I remember we booked a car and had to cancel the deal because my father decided to not withdraw money at extremely low rate.. That car was my favorite and we couldn't buy a similar one ever in Pakistan.. and for that I still hate ganjas.

No they didn't announce that formally.. that's the makkari of sharifs..

So all new accounts were allowed to transact in foreign currency, but the old one's were frozen...

When was this?
It was 1998.

What's the nation waiting for? It's time for bloody revolution!

Stop sending the remittances for the next 6 months as we have got no clue what's going on in the Pakistan. Clear message we don't know you either, we love our country and the flag and our loyalties ends at that too.

.
And Pakistan and Pakistani will end up suffering more... I don't think that is the solution.
So what is the solution? Let these looters hold the nation hostage? And we keep doing their bidding out of the fear that Pakistanis will suffer?
...that's beyond stupid.

They are taking away the voting rights of overseas Pakistanis bcuz they know a large majority of them will vote for PTI. They forced their way into government by literally buying out lotas...
...and we should lose our voice(voting right) while still feeding billions into the economy so these morons can squander it like they have been for decades?

Yeah no thanks...idk about others...but I'm gonna do everything in my power to break the cycle. The rest can wake up and do the same...or they can keep being sheep.

Vast majority of Pakistanis live in middle east where they have no prospects of permanent settlement. They will be coming back eventually so they have a right to vote for their future or future of their children.

No they're not. The other European expat communities are tiny compared to the UK community. Most Pakistanis (1.2 million) from the UK are from Azad Kashmir where the sharif rule is hated. Imran's support is massive.

Of the 1.1 million British Pakistanis, more than one million originate from the part of Kashmir governed by Pakistan.

Seventy-five percent were from Pakistan administered Kashmir– Mirpur region and they were largely uneducated compared to Pakistanis who came from places like Lahore and Karachi who were educated.

Also if you add up all the other expat communities in Europe they still can't equal the UK community in numbers.
This is true, most of my family (we are from bagh) support IK. We even ran campaign in our area in support of Tanvir Ilyas.
