You guys raise some good points.
The Pakistani deep state is still strong and any talks of a break up are fantasies.
Zooming out a bit our policy towards India is fine. But Afghanistan is just the opposite. Due to some Pan Islamic pipe dream we accommodate Afghanistan and elements inside to the cost of Pakistan’s national security.
We accommodate TTP in early 2000s until they wrecked havoc inside of Pakistan. We are doing the same with Afghan Taliban. The Afghans (TTP/Taliban/NA) are a treacherous bunch and Pakistan needs to deal with them with an iron fist.
The fencing of the border with Afghanistan was the best move in decades. And the tribals on the Pakistani side need to be slapped into believing that any Afghans represent a threat. Materially (with all their terrorists) and socially (export of religious extremism).
