Bhagavad Gita faces 'extremist' branding, ban in Russia

The Eternal Truth enshrined in the Bhagvad Gita cannot be tarnished or dimmed in the least by banning the Book in any country. This Truth is totally beyond these petty shenanigans. Whether a criminalised, mafia-controlled, thuggish society like today's Russia bans the Gita or not is completely irrelevant in the larger scheme of things. Whether the fanatical followers of this or that cult abuse the Gita or not does not matter in the least. Whether the rabid proselytizers of this or that revealed 'true faith' curse the Gita or not in their blind ignorance, bigotry and jealous rage is of no significance. The Huns, the Tartars, the Cossacks, the Goths, and all the assorted barbarian hordes of history have come and gone. Even the murderous hordes from Arabia and Persia who plundered and pillaged India over the centuries have vanished into the dustbin of history. But the Gita lives on. More hordes will arise, more latter-day Attilas and Timurlanes will arise, just as Stalin, Mao, Hitler and Churchill have appeared and vanished forever. This is in the natural order of things in this world. But the Gita still lives on, and finds its appropriate place deep in the hearts and minds of thoughtful humans. It does not seek to convert, or inflame, or prosetylize. It merely makes one think deep and hard, and arrive at certain inescapable conclusions regarding the most profound questions. Isn't all this sufficient proof of its absolute indestructibility?

In Bhagavad Gita Krishna states, "Either being slain you will attain the heavenly worlds or by gaining victory you will enjoy the earthly kingdom; therefore O Arjuna, rise up and fight.".

Narrated Anas: Some people from the tribe of 'Ukl came to the Prophet and embraced Islam. The climate of Medina did not suit them, so the Prophet ordered them to go to the (herd of milch) camels of charity and to drink, their milk and urine (as a medicine). They did so, and after they had recovered from their ailment (became healthy) they turned renegades (reverted from Islam) and killed the shepherd of the camels and took the camels away. The Prophet sent (some people) in their pursuit and so they were (caught and) brought, and the Prophets ordered that their hands and legs should be cut off and that their eyes should be branded with heated pieces of iron, and that their cut hands and legs should not be cauterized, till they die.[15][16]

Russians went insane. I've read ISKCON's Bhagavad-gita, its 100% absurd to claim its "extremist" in nature and preached "hatred".

Imagine if Bible or Qur'an would be banned in Russia, same thing.

They haven't banned/are going to ban Bhagvad Gita, just the Russian version of Bhagvad Gita will be banned. So Indians who are there in Russia can still have the book and read it in Indian languages.
