IMO if Kashmir issue is solved, Pakistan and India might become something like France and Germany if not US and Canada. The best solution is to grant Kashmiris independence, and provide them security and defense for 10 years with Indian and Pakistan defense budget, prepare their security forces in this time period so that they can defend their land. Neither country's ego gets hurt. It is so stupid for both nations to fight like some African nations instead of learning from developed nations of Europe who have solved their issues and focus their energy and resources towards development.

Yes but those small countries are almost surrounded by India. Their bread and butter comes from India. They are highly dependent. This won't be the case for Kashmir, Kashmir has a natural route towards the sea through Pakistan. Plus independent Kashmir will be having borders with Pakistan and China which makes it difficult task for invaders.

As for their akhand bharat dreams, it is impossible as Pakistan's Army is protecting the borders.
