The matter is not about race, it is always about human dignity and honor. You can devide Russians with Ukrainians or Belorussians if you want or you can not - because merely 100 years ago all this 3 nations were called Russians. We have defferent history and enmity with the Poles from Middle Ages. Russians see themselves as a different nation for the same reasons all nations of the world see themselves as different nations - because of history, culture, genetics, language, religion, geograthy. No. A tiny sliver of Turkey is Europe. The Turkish heartland is Anatalia which falls in Asia. In addition Turkics are of Asian descent. Ethnic Russians are as dificult to tell apart from ethnic English as trying to split a human hair with your fingers. Difficult. I had my central heating fixed by a plumber who gave a incredibly low quote. It turned out he was from Russia and had moved to UK recently. But at the same time Russians want to be the leaders of Slavic people almost as of they want to annex and integrate other Slavs into Russia.
