Personally, I'm neither a friend nor an enemy of Russia. I mean, we have 100k Turco-Russian babies in Turkey right now and many mixed with other Slavic people throughout the history, hence, why Non-Europeans often mistake us as "European".
But we are certainly not. And I'm saying this is as a White person. However, you guys have to know that in Russia, there are mainly two streams of nationalism. Sometimes they cooperate and sometimes they compete against each other. Putin has used both parties from time to time. He is pointing out how superior the Russians as a race are but he also said many times that Russia, indeed, is a multicultural nation.
The first stream of nationalism is inspired by the former Soviet Union. People of this ideological branch often talk about Slavo-Turkic friendship/brotherhood a.k.a the dominance of Russia based on culture and language, not race. = Eurasianism
Aleksandr Dugin is a member of this stream: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandr_Dugin
The second stream is classic racism and fascism which has become more popular in recent years. These people have often a very favorable view of Serbia and they detest non-White immigrants of all colours, especially Blacks, Indians and people from Caucasus. There are actual videos of Russian racists cutting the throats of immigrants in the forest. No joke. This is real.
Just like our user vostok, the society and leadership of Russia is going back and forth between these two different ideologies.
And that's why Russia has sold her most precious defense system to Turkey even though we're in Nato and there's a certain danger that Nato could try to somehow manipulate and penetrate the system. Nevertheless, many members of Eurasianism in Moscow, including some in the military, had supported the S400 deal.
Russia is strange. But, then again, wo isn't, right? You look at Karachi and you wonder why certain groups have left India in the first place...
