Beijing fires warning shot on arms sales to Taiwan

Truth seeker is right, a non-aggression pact is the only way for people of Taiwan to trust China. What's sad is Taiwan let the U.S. pressure it into giving up nukes in the 70's, in exchange for a promise to sell conventional weapons. Now that Taiwan is dependent on the U.S. like an addict, it's too late to start any meaningful defense programs. If Chiang Kai Shek was alive (not that I am a fan), he would have given the U.S. the bird and continued with the nukes plus a massive weapons program.
