Hinduism is not one religion... It was just a name given by Britishers to separate the diverse religions of India from Muslims...

Thats your misconception.....I agree Hindu i a relatively new term(Arabs not Britisher use to distinguish) but there was a similar term known as sanatan dharma from thousands of years...which means same as Hinduism...

Deities worshipped in North are generally different than Dieties worshipped in South... I don't remember the names... I learnt that in some class long time ago..

Then , you may have learned something wrong,, There is no difference between North & South...Both are simply Hindu......worship of different Dieties does not matter because all hindus knows that all the Dietries are the part of same Para Brahman...& all Dietries are worshiped...

and Abhiras.. I find many of your posts very jingoistic.. It is one thing to be proud of being Indian.. and it another thing to be completely obsessed with being Indian.. as if everything coming from India is perfect...

Yeah i agree on it......& i am trying to balance this by keeping calm....
I would be happy with criticism about us;;;but abusing us....turn me mad.......

I didn't abuse your religion at all.. I maybe racist... but there is ONE thing I NEVER do... abuse religions..

I know both are simply hindu.. but the deities which are popular in Southern Temples are generally different from the Northern Temples.. or something like that.. I have to check my book on Art of Asia again.. i forgot the names.. it was long time ago..

alright something interesting about bhopal......there are v large no Dargah's in bhopal..... i cant find pics of those dargahs @ net, i ll go and click them myself....

you wont believe.... we have dargahs just next to temples and guess what!!!!!!!!!!!! people pay respect to both of them in there own way.... like some people like me do pranam to both dargah and mandir... etc etc....
