It is easier said than done.. If that was the case Bangladesh would have never separated from us.. there are huge linguistic/cultural differences between us and them...

and that doesn't just apply to Muslims.. it applies to Christians, Jews, Hindus and other religion as well..

There is tension in Israel between the native jews, Ashkenazi Jews, Ethiopian jews and so on..

Although Hinduism is not global religion... I have seen North and South Indians competing with each other all the time..

oh yes of course they will compete with you, for the simple reason that the presence of 160 million of them in India has defied the very basics on which Pakistan stands or was formed.

The homeland for the muslims of the sub continent...that theory is in shambles...the mere presence of them in India is the biggest slap to partition...and they will write modern Indian history with all the other indians..

On that I agree man. Things did not exactly work out how they were supposed to. The partition was based on two-nation theory, which is quite understandable. Rather than fighting all the time and killing each other, it's better to get apart and live the life according to your beliefs. But guess what, still we are facing the same problems. Fighting, killing each other still hasn't stopped.

They are not pretending to be indian,,,religion comes to them after their country.....
That what we are taught & that what we are all about.......
We are Indian first ,,,no matter we are a Indian Hindu ,Indian Muslim or Indian Christian

oh yes logically and technically it was expected, just because of the fact that Pakistan was advertised using high dosage of "homeland for the subcontinental muslims"..tagline

so yes it was expected that all would go and similarly all hindus would come to india..natural

ok wait wait... the struggle for separate homeland for Muslims started bcoz Hindus were oppressing them.. and it started from Bengal where they were highly oppressed.. I don't think they had any other option other than to demand for their separate homeland..

And the Indian Muslims who stayed in India... well practically they didn't have much choice... ... If those lands ended up with Pakistan... I don't think they would have done reverse migration to settle back in India..

girl you are quite right and the competition is on who is better than the other...religion wise they are the same , say for example Hindus, language, customs and other thingsincluding food...

two aspects failed Pakistan and its so called ideology severly that it could not recover from it:

a) Partition of India and the resultant continuing presence of Muslims in India, to the extent of all of Pakistan's total population which is around 170 mio

b) the double blow when it was proved again that religion cant be the basis of nationalism and its identity...as in the case of bdesh

Of course they are indians.......... and very proud to be indians........... and it depends upon peoples whether to choose religion first or the country and Muslims being a Emotional nation usually chose religion before Country

Cultural difference has nothing to do with the religion. If a Bangladeshi Muslim is supposed to pray 5 times a day, so is a Pakistani, Indian, or any other Muslim. When people become materialistic then you start getting into those culture, race, language, differences.

Muslims are very different peoples................. they can pretend to be Indians and they must be proud indians because they were born in their respective country and it is something natural that you love your country.

But end of the day they are and they will remain our brothers.......... Our religion has tied us up in brotherhood. That nobody can break. Yes they might fight with us being an indain and i find it nothing wrong it but there is a limit of everything. When it comes to reality.......... they are and they will remain our brothers

There is not distinction between Pakistani Muslim or an Indian Muslim in the sight of Allah i believe? as everybody is equal.......... so we should not even say like that

girl, irrespective of any Indian would tell you regarding the ills of the empire here in india, deep down they know that had it not been them, it would have taken more time for us to even reach where we are today.

Having said that, opression or no opression, the plain fact remains thats the muslims in that era were just not forthcoming and lagged behind everything. Now suddenly within 100 years since the mutiny things cannot change, they were the ruling classes.

They chose to remain where they were obsolete and medeival. It is plain hard talk..so when the opportunities came with the brits, the hindus statred taking advantage of these...of course there is no denial...
