1. This thread is about the past.
About the economic performance of the then united Pakistan.
2. Razakars are not an imaginary enemy, but very real.
The hardcore Awamis are India-lovers, and the razakars are Pakistan-lovers. Razakars/Jamatis place Pakistani interests above Bangladeshi and some of them hold Bengali culture and Bangladesh in contempt.
Razakars on this forum have frequently insulted my country and people, and today our flag and anthem.
They failed to destroy Bangladesh and will never succeed in doing so.
Actually, I made this thread because of Captain's exaggerated economic development news in BD that may mislead to the people that BD is doing super fine! (but suddenly found that W.pk and E. PK average rate thing! and questioned the exaggerated discrimination as like 30 lakh killing).
Every time a Awami league Leader says anything, feasible or non-feasible, justified or not justified, he makes threads that mislead people that BD is doing super fine! Before 2008 election, Hasina said that, she will sell Rice at 10 taka, did anyone questioned her how that was feasible?
BD got big population, so big amount of remittance, garment sector is doing good, education is also improving, so do the other countries, what a big deal?, no country is sitting idle.
Hmmm Razakar, Traitor...... typical AL type response. But I do not know, I am losing my feeling for this country, the cause is only AL and its propaganda that hurt my ego, sentiment (like BD fought for so-called economic discrimination has now turned into that we fought secularism!). If 100% people of BD act like Awami league I think I will have 0% feeling for BD. To me my spirit is important than Al's spirit and I would like to like my country in my way.
@ Captain
yOU always talked about GDP.
Actually how much properly can the GDP represent the standard of living in a country? There is so much disparity between poor and rich in BD. Just go to the village and see their life style, when will they enjoy the life
standard like Middle income country??
Standard of living is related to the GDP of a country, but the economists and policymakers now focusing on the argument that the GDP alone cannot reflect the standard of living adequately. "There is more to life than GDP". Factors like social, technological, cultural and religious conflicts, politicizing the national interests, political instability, conflicts and freedom (and we are watching the agitated life in this AL regime), change in legal and policy issues, change in social attitudes and values, high crime rate, high inflation rate, high price of daily goods, high unemployment rate, high pollution, location and environment of the living place and working area have great effect on standard of living .
But you made a nice try by trying to use 1975 as the reference year for your Pakistani dalali and demonizing Bangladesh which never can be as that year was completely unusual.
I am not talking here, but the historical data. Believe it or not, buy it or not, is up to u. I just said what I think.
