Does it make any difference that Pakistani sects do not call themselves "Wahabi" ? But they have no problem taking Saudi money and embracing tenets of Wahabi doctrines especially with regard to violence and extremism ?

Pakistanis have no problems blaming foreigners for their problems ignoring the problem in their midst. There is nothing new here

Who does not do that? Americans, Indians, Afghans, French etc. etc. all blame someone else for their problems. Externalizing a problem is a global phenomena and nothing specific to Pakistan.

Secondly, Pakistani "sects" do not take money from anyone. It is some religious leaders who get stipends or funding for their local mosques from benefactors in KSA etc. Saudis are not running a charity in Pakistan to take care of the masses.

The above is similar to Iranian support for the Shia'a scholars and religious centers/masajids.

What difference does it make ? A lot of Muslims have no qualms killing your co-religionists

When have Americans blamed others ? Other than picking on China for its trading practices we have not blamed anyone

As far as taking money goes I would not know who gets the money and who doesn't get. All I Know is some of the dudes who take the money are extremists in very sense of the word. We can argue whether those characters were violent prior to taking the money or they became violent because of the money.

India is doing pakistan a favor then. The GCC which is divided and at each other’s throats serves no strategic purpose. Pakistan has to deepen its ties with China and manage its relationship with the US and Europe.

If Pakistan can spend the next decade staying away from these useless and forever wars and develop its economy and human capital, it will be well placed to grow and pursue a more self-centered and assertive foreign policy than it currently does.

No one is saying don’t have relations with others, just not the ones that reduce Pakistan to a pawn, as was done during the Cold War and after 9/11. Have friends but not friendships that suck you into their mess.

Basically, walk a tight line and build yourself up by investing in your people and economy.
