Most people in China don't know anything about politics, and just go by what they read on the news.

Among those Chinese who are aware of the past history of relations between China/Pakistan/India... these individuals will tend to rate Pakistan at the top, or near the top.

EDIT: It is interesting to note that that China's attitude towards India is quite balanced... while India's view of China, is extremely negative.

There is the direction of the hostility.

wrong dude. Most dumazzes here that are indians can talk negative about India. I have very positive thoughts and views towards China, and really cannot find one major fault with China. Watch how people will discuss about freedom now.....if anyone have any knowledge about China they should know CPC really doesn't rule each person and dictate their rights and freedoms....

there's plenty of faults with China, just that they're not the ones attacked and they're blamed on the wrong things.

JayATL is just like that Justin Joseph guy, a hardcore rightwing troll.

Just look and compare Pakistan's influence in China with India's influence in China. :D

^ You're probably aware that this is a poll on the public of the countries, not the state of the countries.

And that's why it matters for it shows how the Chinese masses generally think of India vis a vis Pakistan. :D

What influence?

Ask your Chinese comrades.

OR

Ask those who conducted the poll.

Not me.

What influence?

Frat boy colloquialism.

Well according to this article. Perceptions about India in China are more positive than of Pakistan.

Pakistan

Views of Pakistan, already negative in 2010, have grown more so over the past year. On average, 56 per cent in the 24 tracking countries surveyed both in 2010 and 2011 offer an unfavourable view of Pakistan's influence, and 17 per cent offer a favourable view. This represents a five-point rise in negative views since 2010. Of the 27 countries polled in 2011, 23 lean negative, three lean positive, and one is divided.

In China, with more respondents offering an evaluation than in 2010, the country moved from being divided to leaning negative. While there was an increase in favourable ratings of seven points (37%), negative ratings grew by 13 points (47%). In Mexico, opinion also shifted following a ten-point rise in negative views (30%), as Mexicans went from positive to being divided in their views of Pakistan.

A number of countries with clearly unfavourable leanings have become even more negative, including the US (75%, up from 58%), Australia (74%, up from 54%), the Philippines (79%, up from 61%), and Portugal (63%, up from 57%).

Some countries with more moderate views have hardened them. Negative views in the United Kingdom jumped 24 points to 68 per cent, and in Canada they increased by 18 points (67%). In Nigeria, favourable views have fallen 16 points (16%), while unfavourable views have risen ten points (50%). In Ghana, unfavourable views grew by 13 points (49%), while favourable ratings diminished (9%, down 6 points). Positive attitudes in Kenya have dropped six points (33%) while negative views increased (42%). As a result, Kenyan opinion shifted from being divided to leaning negative. Among Mexicans, negative views are up by ten points (30%), constituting a shift in overall opinion from positive to divided.

Views in several countries have bucked the general trend and have warmed. This change is most significant in Turkey, which leaned negative in 2010 and now leans positive. Favourable ratings are up by a remarkable 41 points (56%), and unfavourable ratings are down 18 points (28%). Negative evaluations have become slightly milder in three countries: Egypt (28%, down from 36%), Japan (37%, down from 45%), and Russia (38%, down from 46%). A seven-point change has also occurred in Germany (76%, down from 83%).

Can't find the chart though.

Damn right bro!!!

Many people in China are simply idiots who know nothing except some creepy Korean drama.

The Chinese members here are the true patriots who would unconditionally support Pakistan. :pakistan:

I just donated 500 CAD last summer to the Red Cross. :partay:

Except Pakistan, no way i would donate to other foreign nation.

Chinese people should not be blamed for this. I believe the stupid CCP should be blamed for the delusions about India many Chinese are having.

If you read Chinese history text book, you can barely find anything negative about India. It doesn't teach you India is the country that has stolen 90,000 square kilometres territory from China, which is almost as big as two Taiwan.

If you read Chinese news about India, you just realise how incompetent Chinese medias are when they showing the real India to Chinese readship. Arresting innocent Chinese tourists, banning Huawei and ZTE from doing business in India, supporting Tibetan separatists in India, etc. all of these, nothing can be heard on Chinese mainstream channels. All we can hear is the cliche by Chinese officials that China cherish the friendship with India. Friendship with India? That is the larggest joke told by CCP.

If you're government decides to change their stance, your media will too. Remember when the Chinese premier visited India, he said some BS about "India and China are always friends"... something like that.

As for the allegations, I won't bother replying since thread will turn into Tibet debate otherwise.

I dont even think most Indians even know about 1962 war let alone how many times India and Pakistan had went to war. I had no clue that India and China went to war at first, and my uncles and dad didnt either..

I came in so naive thinking India and China can be allies. And I bet many Indians in the forum had the same feeling at first. Thinking two ancient civilizations that are making a come back can co-operate and what not..

That is a lie.

I believe everyone who reads Indian news on a regular basis knows 62, beause there was a time I read Indian news everyday. Indian medias mentioned 1962 more than enough times before I quit reading.
