Most people in China don't know anything about politics, and just go by what they read on the news.

Among those Chinese who are aware of the past history of relations between China/Pakistan/India... these individuals will tend to rate Pakistan at the top, or near the top.

EDIT: It is interesting to note that that China's attitude towards India is quite balanced... while India's view of China, is extremely negative.

There is the direction of the hostility.

Many people in China are simply idiots who know nothing except some creepy Korean drama.

The Chinese members here are the true patriots who would unconditionally support Pakistan.

I just donated 500 CAD last summer to the Red Cross.

Except Pakistan, no way i would donate to other foreign nation.

Well if it makes you guys feel better, those Indian opinions are penetrating into the Chinese parts of the Internet.
So we should see it starting to balance out on our end too.

I guess then we can expect some Chinese media reports about war predictions. So it should balance out.

Iran

Iran was a surprise. I was expecting net favorable views from Indonesian and Turkey (yes due to religion factor). Is it because of the Shia-Sunni thing?

Views of US opinion in Pakistan seems to be at an all time low. Any data on how it was last year?

Poor Iran. Getting a lot of bad press these days.

Interesting point to note is the majority of people tend to overestimate their respective countries' influence. The media plays a huge role in all this of course.

No, Chinese media isn't interested in predicting any Sino-Indian wars. I'm referring to both public and private media, in both the mainland and in HK.

This is why I call it a "self-fulfilling prophecy".

The Indian media is constantly pushing the idea of a Sino-Indian war, even though it was unwanted in the first place.

Hostile opinions will increase on both sides, it is a self-sustaining cycle.

You can laugh all you want, but public opinion is extremely important regarding national relations.

Especially regarding such a sensitive disputed border region, as the Sino-Indian border.
