1. Google is a private enterprise, and it is doing well because its products are competitive and/or matchless.
2. US Department of State did not force people to adopt Google. Refer back to point 1 above.
3. Google grants YOU decent level of control in regards to visibility of your personal information on the web; YOU can wipe your entire history clean if you want to.
4. To an outsider, whether applications in use are Chinese or American, potential vulnerabilities are a constant.
In fact, Chinese are notorious for hacking and/or cyber infiltrations. I have experienced this problem firsthand, and one of my cards is no longer accepted on Google consequently.
5. US have a beef with China due to trade-related considerations. Chinese leadership should sort out its problems with Trump administration at earliest.
6. Consumers should be FREE to choose among potential services. Governments should stay out of this matter.
I am not sure you are Pakistani, but if you are, I am worried for you.
1) Just because GOOGLE is private, doesn't mean they are not complicit with the US gov. You have tonnes of private US companies supplying arms and services to attack Muslim countries.
2) Why would they force you to adopt it when the only alternatives were all american anyway. It's either Apple or Google. People supported Google because it is open source and we thought it was not gonna be controlled by any corporation. Boy were we wrong. Imagine US being pissed with Pakistan, and walaaaa, all your google services will be gone tmr.
3) Google doesn't grant you shit. All your personal datas and history and habits are stored in their big data servers without you even knowing it. You ever wondered why the google ads poop up with the right stuff? Gosh wake up.
4) True, both alternatives are vulnerable for any country. So let's work on a new platform which is truly independent and open to all like Linux where nobody controls it.
5) The illusion of choice and freedom is the forte of the American system. You THINK you have a choice. =)
