I think,Government said 1602 dollar is current 'per capita income' which usually implies per capita gdp+ external remittance inflow- remittance outflow or other word per capita GNP.But whatever,I will stick to the IMF figure of 1525 USD per capita GDP for credible comparison and wider acceptance.
As you wish. Sometimes people misquote GDP per capita with per capita income.
You need to dig in the number and breakdown to actually know what it meant. You are a late comer. There were zillion of threads already.

Bangladesh posters as usual providing 2017 figures for Bangladesh and 2015 for Pakistan .

The 2017 figure for Pakistan is $1629

https://www.samaa.tv/pakistan/2017/05/pakistans-per-capita-income-has-seen-growth-and-heres-why/

As per the survey unveiled by Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday, the per capita income in dollar terms has increased from $ 1,531 in FY 2016 to $ 1,629 in FY 2017.

Plus its not been updated by IMF , World bank as we all know how much BD government tries to fudge their figures .
Good, but Bangladesh is still too close. We must widen the gap and inshallah we will.

Indra Gandhi was a visionary leader
Now Pakistan will compete with Somalia and Ivory Coast to stay relevant in this world

Really?.......which is why india was too weak, powerless and impotent to do anything to Pakistan after mumbai 2008 and uri 2016 despite being more than 7x bigger than Pakistan and having abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege.........lol...........lol...........

Your GDP/Capita 1525
GNP/capita is 1629

BD GDP/Capita 1602
BD GNP/Capita 1695

I think the confusion will be over by this.

GNi in 2016 Pakistan $1510 BD $1330

You cannot use your governments figures vs IMF's figures for Pkiatsna . Doesnt work that way . If you compare you compare them from one source
I compared your govt figure with our govt figure.
I did not give you any IMF link.
Both the figures are based on PK and BD prebudget assessment figure.

Why?

Lets have IMF update their figure. BD may not have surpassed yet but in a year or two at most...things might change.
Because you'd want to put your government in the best part of your country.

Bangladesh might surpass Pakistan in a year or two, but then inshallah we will surpass Bangladesh and the gap will widen. Wait for the violence to die down in Pakistan. Once it does, we will go back to having the dominant economy in South Asia inshallah.

Bangladesh had a strong growth during Ayub regime.
I beg to differ, during Ayub regime, west Pak. had average gdp growth rate of 6.7 percent while E. Pak had only 3.7 percent. It was during Ayub's rule when economic disparity between the two region became glaringly wide.To eyewash the public of East Pakistan,he inaugurated some big infrastructure project in East Pakistan while breaking the backbone of economy and rampant exploitation continued. It was like donating shoe by killing your cow.

and the govt figures still says $1629 compared to $1609 for you . You are confusing GDP/GNP per capitas . None of the 2016 version of IMF/World bank seems to support your claim .

Biased article by Akbar Ali Khan.
Go back to world back data. That should be a good start.
