Bangladesh to work with India for building a peaceful region: PM Hasina

Yes we are arguably the most peaceful nation in Asia. Hated by all our neighbours? Where did you get that from? Only China and Pakistan hate us. If we are hated by all it means that we are the best. Haters gonna hate.

Yes we killed 300 in Balakot. We are more powerful than UK in military strenght. Check the Global firepower ranking.

LOL.

We have a comedian here.

The reality of India is slowly getting out.

Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina has said that they look forward to working together with India in the next 50 years and beyond towards realising the shared vision of building a peaceful and prosperous region.

‘The year 2021 was a historic one for the Bangladesh-India relationship, marked by celebrations of epochal events and engagements at the highest levels,’ she said in a message to her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on the occasion of the Republic Day of India.

On behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh and on her own behalf, Sheikh Hasina extended her warmest wishes and heartiest felicitations to Modi and the people of India on the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day of India.

The prime minister thankfully recalled Modi’s visit to Dhaka in March 2021 to join the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of the Independence of Bangladesh, the birth centenary of father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and 50 years of establishment of diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and India.

‘Your gracious presence on these occasions had added extra enthusiasm to the celebrations and allowed us to further consolidate our excellent bilateral relations, which so happily exist between our two countries,’ she said.

Hasina recalled with gratitude the support rendered by the government and the people of India during the Liberation War in 1971 that set the foundation of a unique relationship.

The joint celebration of Moitri Dibosh, across the globe, held on December 6, the day when India recognised Bangladesh as a sovereign and independent State in 1971, projected this special relationship, she said.

‘The unique ties of close friendship, cooperation, and trust between our two countries have flourished and grown from strength to strength in recent years. Many new frontiers of cooperation alongside all traditional areas have been identified, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic,’ Hasina mentioned.

She said, ‘Let this joyous occasion be a special one, as India is also celebrating ‘Azadika Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark 75 years of her independence.’
I guess until the economy is booming people would have little incentive to question the bending over backward for India of this stooge. People in the Maldives have begun rising up against the foreign policy of the Indian puppet in their country now.

@Bilal9 bhai, this is specially for you. Only 8 minutes video, please watch it carefully!

I saw the video.

The bigger problem I see here is that most of these newer political position aspirants (Paan Ghutka consuming Obaidul Quader types) we see are attracted solely by the prospect of making illegal Billions of Dollars, whether having ANY qualifications or not. Mostly NOT. True village idiots who did some student politics and now they think they are ready for the world stage. With no pedigree, no one in their family ever having more than Matric-Pass qualifications.

These should be made into law - like Pakistan did. In Pakistan I believe you need at least a bachelors to become a Senator.

When I talk about qualifications, we talk about education first of all - not just minimum pseudo education by passing four year diploma course at Narikel Danga University - but actual exposure to world class education who can represent Bangladesh in the world - not just some clueless dehati khet from Bheramara. Jarya Zhanjail or Narikel-Danga.

Alongwith education, that person has to have some idea of how to run a country, not be beholden to India and be a technocrat at the same time.

So far- I don't see anyone in the new crop of aspirants qualified enough besides Reza Kibria.

There are only a few upper middle class old families left in Bangladesh whose offspring would qualify.

Bangladesh is on an upwards trajectory now, we will make the mistake of our lives if we elect another Indian-sycophant idiot who does not see OUR interest instead of India's and keeps licking their feet.

My dear Bengali friend. What reality? The reality that we will soon be a superpower?

You are best war video game player in this world , I'm convinced!

Also killed 300 in balakot in your wet dream! :enjoy:
Thank you:)

We are not a threat to anybody. You guys relax. We are a peaceful people and country. Look at how well muslims are treated in India and compare it to Hindus in Bangladesh for example. India should be a role model for all south asian societies.

Enjoy your time on PDF.

Bangladesh should not mess with India. We are a peaceful nation by nature. We do not like violence. But that does not mean we cant show you "force" If India wants or decides, she can turn Bangladesh into barren land within days. Bangladesh would have no option.

Just because we want peace it should not be seen as our weakness.
We have witnessed in 1971 what India can do to make BD a barren land. Was not it us who gave India a win with only 1300 Indian deaths?

Learn to die before you can learn how to fight.

^^^ This is a perfect example of typical Indian delusion.
You need to "look up" for yourself. Go compare religious violence death stats for minorities of both countries.
Hindus are well off in BD, better than Muslims in India will ever be.
This is why I tell you Indians to do some research about your own country beyond self-gratifying trash published by Indian media.

@Bilal9 Bhai , these young politicians of "Gono Odhikar Porishod" are students of DU! At least many of them!

And since they are under supervision of Reza Kibria , so I think they will perform better!

Also such parties are backed by deep state I think! ( Because why do we need new party when we already have 2 major parties?) So surely they will be well monitored!

However, if we have to re write our constitution, and re introduce presidential form of Democracy, then political party members' influence will be reduced significantly.

So an educated president can appoint educated people for ministry.

And no one can be president more than two terms!

So tbh , I think , only rewriting constitution will save Bangladesh.

Yesterday I watched a talk show of Dr Taj Hashmi at nagorik TV. He also said and explained why parliamentary system is not suitable in Bangladesh!

But this must be done after under 2/3 years of national unity govt.

I surely expect a bright future of Bangladeshi politics.

But surely parliamentary system should be abolished, in order to reduce the influence of political goons!

Let's hope for better future. বাকিটা আল্লাহ ভরসা!

Alhamdulillah this is excellent news and I hope the political reforms and abuse limits bring in a far more stable and participatory govt. for all. :-)

I am by far not a political hack, but am of course hoping for a better alternative than the one party situation currently ongoing - their manipulating the leadership of our armed forces (especially BAF), her India appeasement and her allowing India's one-sided exploitation of our economy. These are all huge issues.

Hope the new leadership can also re-mold the trade relationships with the outside world in general (not just India) to reap more benefits for and to be more fair to the economic aspirations of Bangladesh and Bangladeshis. This means not foregoing trade relationships with China and Muslim countries like Pakistan, Turkey and Indonesia, in favor of countries like our neighbor.

This is not to be unfair to neighbors, but we need to diversify our trade sources and not put all of our eggs in one basket.

.
her India appeasement and her allowing India's one-sided exploitation of our economy.
I humbly disagree @Bilal9 bhai. contrary to popular belief, she alone doesn't run the govt and make policy.

Her party goons and administration has many people who are pro India. And that's why she looks like pro India , as she has no other choice.

But you see the suppression of pro indians have started already. Once we clear the weeds , we will see the complete different scenarios!

Unfortunately still we will keep calling her pro Indian , because we can't get rid off easily from our fixed mind setting.

Tbh , Bangladeshi politics are far beyond BAL , BNP. Now we are fast becoming part of international dirty politics because of our geo political location.

With rest of your message , I totally agree!

Indians are savages. They not only do this stuff to Muslims but even people who look a tiny bit east Asian.

For Muslims in Kashmir, they are raped and executed for fun by Indian army. The weakest coward army that performs atrocities against those who cannot hit back at them.

There are daily examples of India doing shit like this for Muslims, Assamese, student protestors, farmer protestors, and now even Sikhs. Communal rape, beatings, mob lynchings are weekly occurances for incredible india.

Perhaps, you are over-stating the affairs in India.
