Bangladesh rally attracts tens of thousands to demand new elections - BBC News

He exposed himself in another thread as a BNP activist. All his sentiments are BS

Like we didn’t know that!

Only a BNP activist would be that unhinged.

True independents like me support Hasina but despise BAL and BNP corruption and incompetence.

Heist at the Central Bank in not an exhibit of everyday corruption. I let it slide when it happened as lack of IT security protocols and practices.
AL backed takeover of IBIL with subsequent looting of the bank to the bare bones suggests this is not a typical corruption case where ruling party loyalists or the party itself is benefiting from mega projects. This is just pure highway robbery with the blessings of the present government.
It reminds me the story ( fact?) of Shekh Kamal ( Mujib's son) where he robbed a Bank !

BNP is certainly not the solution, but a solution ( without Khaleda and Tariq Zia et al).

The most acceptable option to all the people in Bangladesh is an unelected technocratic Govt.

Tbh without Zia family , BNP is better than BAL! Specially BAL grassroot are made by completely rotten people!

Exactly. But here our BAL intellectuals seems to ignore the option when asked.

Even self claimed so called independents will provide 101 logic against it!

Ps- TBH , Bangladesh used to divided between BAL and BNP supporters.

Nowadays it's divided between few BAL lackeys and the whole population that are anti BAL!

It's really the time for a free and fair election to test the popularity of BAL.

However if a fair election take place after cool down period under a technocrat govt, BAL will regain some of it's popularity as Bengali always forget the past incident!

It's a reality that BAL lackeys don't understand!

BD is the most well run state in the whole of S Asia with the highest gdp growth.

You want to put all this at risk for some unknown?

The mask finally falls 😂😂😂

BNP shills crawl out of the wood work one by one 😂😂🤣🤣

He @Nergal is not a fan of BNP, I know atlas/nergal Bhai, he's far from a fan of BAL or BNP but he's more a fan of election and more "action" in the political arena.

Up until a year ago, he was fully behind Sheikh Hasina's leadership.

I don't see India running to IMF for working capital dollars, I am not sure how much of the growth stats are true . Word on the street is Hasina will never open up the books to IMF. IMF money comes in draws for the type of loan she asked for, not in one lumpsum she is been talking about.

I along with most other people were okay with AL rule even with the corruption.
I actually posted on this forum couple years ago that no one in Bangladesh cares about politics as long as they are economically doing fine and hope to continue to do better.
Economics are really dire on the ground for poorer folks.
Hasina chased the Chief Justice out of the country. She literally handed over IBIL to the wolves to strip it to the bones.
We don't have the culture and the discipline of East Asian folks.

There is absolutely no check and balance, not even a semblance of it in Bangladesh.

If you really think that India is a better run country than BD and the average Indian has a better life than a BD'shi then I really cannot say anything to to convince you otherwise.

Doubting the BD GDP figures is going into lunacy territory as this is accepted by all economic forecasters and there is no way to fudge GDP per capita PPP that shows that BD has over the last 15 years has caught up with India from being at 70% level in 2007.

You are frustrated that your choice is not in power in BD for sure and my suggestion for someone living in USA is to try to forget this and focus on your life where you are. You have no power to make your wish become a reality and so wasting your time that could be more productively spent.

Thanks bhai for your support! I generally don't take the opinion of @BananaRepublicUK seriously, because he is too much intolerant!

However I am still not against Hasina. I now just want her to contest election and win, or an honorable retirement!

She is an old lady and don't want her dishonorable exit like Ershad!

It's reality that no one can rule forever, so what's the point of retirement with dishonor?

She already has many achievements , but because of her sycophants all are under threat!

I believe she also now want safe exit . But her sycophants are not letting her choose the path.

As she knows she will no longer safe if she forcefully reject the wish of her corrupted sycophants!

Because if Hasina resigns , the corrupted sycophants will get caught and punished! She remember the tragedy of her father BB , and she is very careful now.

I wish she will have an honorable retirement! So people will remember her with respect!

But it looks , because of some sycophants are trying to make things impossible!

@AmiEktaKharapChele Bhaijan!

My choice is the one where there is rule of law and respect for property rights, I am sure you agree with me even as an AL fanboy on those criteria as these are the essential ingredients for building a nation.

Something we do not have an iota worth.

@BananaRepublicUK ,my man ,you are wrong. My mask has fallen long ago.

This is one of the many evidences , perhaps you missed ; but well known to everyone!

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/un-calls-for-probe-into-bangladesh-vote.595216/post-11080393

You can find tons of posts where I was eagerly praising Ziaur Rahman , and was defaming Khaleda Zia and Tareq chora!

And hey buddy @BananaRepublicUK , do you know why I always prefer most of BNP folks ( specially grassroot? ) over BAL?

Because BAL grassroot folks actually has the disturbing nature like you ( singular) !

Surprisingly Jamat has the same disturbing nature. @idune is the perfect example on PDF!

You spoke about inspirational Zia - now you are shamed because that name is linked to an indefensible family.

Unfortunately for you and your chamcha @Bilal9, Hasina's legacy is pretty much solidified.

With the Padma setu, MRT, nuclear plants she has initiated an era of works that will echo for decades. Even in 100 years, children will have to be told that Hasina built their main infrastructure. Just like we talk about Ershad and his public works.

What can be said of khaleda and tareks 2 terms? Nothing to show whatsoever - and you want to hand them the largest budget in history - a budget built up slowly, steadily by Hasina?

Why do you tie up legacy with democracy as if they are linked. Since when have great legacies needed democracy? Mahatir or Soeharto ring a bell?

And to talk about democracy and BDs opposition - BNP, Jamaat - in the same breath is the biggest joke of all. Those parties literally had to be militarily ousted because of their vote rigging.

Ps. A BA is not proof of intelligence - but watching your child die slowly from drug abuse - while being the most powerful person in the country is definitely proof of dumbness.

None of us (including @Nergal bhai or @bluesky bhai) are BNP sycophants.

BNP itself has gone through plenty of bad phases, including bad decisions taken by Khaleda and her sons.

But to blame a dead guy for what his wife and sons did after the fact is just plain "bhondami" by fifth columnists.

Zia himself was a thousand times better as an administrator than the Sheikh. Most importantly

BD future should be Presidential. Two parties' system has been proven not suitable for BD. Presidential system with multi-party system.

Decentralization with free election for every Governor as well.
