Thank you for your kind word.Bangladesh is almost self-sufficient in food and medicine.Bangladesh is fourth largest producer of Rice and fourth largest producer of fresh water fish in the world.Our cereal grain production is around 40 million ton.We export some Rice after fulfilling local demand and import around 3 million ton of wheat.Our production of vegetable,fruits,poultry meat,egg and a lot of other stuff are also adequate.In beef we have two-third self sufficiency,another one-third comes from Indian cow which create a lot of incidence in the border.

Our drugs company provide 97 percent of the local need and export drugs in many countries.This sector is getting a big boost in recent times.But our armed forces is not strong enough to resist the Indian forces.We need to triple down the effort on this sector.China, Pakistan can help us in this field tremendously.

i just checked. BD is fourth largest in inland freshwater fish.

Yes 4th Largest fresh water fish producing nation, but very few of the fish farms use modern methods and equipments. We have had a lot of Research in agricultural sector, but Research in Fish production is still lagging behind. We will only go up in producing fresh water fish as we are introducing high yielding varieties.

As for the Marine fish production, Our maritime boundary is 664 km. We have 68,000 Wooden boats that can't go beyond 25 km. The Govt has not started any project yet for modernizing sea going vessels. Once it is done, Marine fish production will increase dramatically. So far I heard Govt is trying to survey the Sea.

I guess it is easy for BangladeshI entrepreneurs to turn lands into fish farms. But Maritime fishing is a different game. Traditional fishermen are only capable of this and they will need boats with modern equipments like Radar to compete in the International level.

Russia will also have no problem to supply weapon to us.They provide weapon anyone willing to pay.They are one of the main geo-political adversary of USA. Indian strategy to act as a poodle of USA will only distance India-Russia relation.You can't act in both ways.

I'm sorry a tiny basket case can never dictate what a major country can or cannot balance. We will acquire, supply and cooperate as needed with Russia/US/West/Japan/Developing partners as required.

Yes you can get a few insignificant stuff from Russia, as long as we give the all clear first. Why would we deny Russians to make some money for themselves like they are doing with the nuclear power plant rip-off they have shoved down your throats with heavy loans?
