Is sending people abroad to learn free of cost? Nothing comes easy for people who love to go for old Books with abstract education to get answers to problems related to science and technology.

I think between 80's - late 90's a too shell or BP CEO. Has said openly in statement open to public to find. That Nigeria is not a country, its completely controlled by Shell or BP .

They did little to invest in local community, did little to invest in local infractstructure. Did little to protect local environment and people's health. Also purposes destroy local area deliberately depriving them of self sufficient food source so they rely on bigger corporations.

Nigeria social mobility and most of its ppl probably benefited in remittances from family aboard and call centra scams.

Some where there is big multinational companies, some how there is also sooner or later an miltia force propping causing existential damage on the country. Through all the incidents in post colonial, these outfits have always been a massive factor.

I understand you are being sarcastic and joking, but PetroBangla does send people for training abroad.

In fact, the Oil & Gas MNCs operating in Bangladesh arrange trainings with top-notch international experts from the oil & gas industry. PetroBangla and Bapex staff are often invited in those sessions to learn and develop.

P.S.: To add to the above - the problem is much deeper than just training alone. There is also a problem with mindset of the Government staff, some just use it to go for foreign trip funded by tax payers, hence the training adds no substantial value. I have personally seen some Petrobangla and Bapex staff joining the training session only for the food and refreshment provided at trainings hosted by MNCs in Bangladesh. There are some exceptional individuals who have real desire to learn, but there are too few of them. That brings the second point - the lack of sound strategy and implementation by the top brass in PetroBangla and the Ministry of Energy.

About doctors practicing. As far as I know, our golden BD has no License system. After then graduation, he is entitled to treat a patient. But, in countries other than BD and African ones, a graduate doctor has to sit in license exams year after year. He/ she is not allowed to treat a patient until he gets the license. This license is valid for only that country.

However, some countries just do not accept the medical degrees of other countries. Japan does not accept it by citing this and that. It means, a student graduated from an American University cannot even appear in the Japanese license exam.

About garment houses hiring Indian, Pakistani or SL graduates. It is very normal because they read, write, speak and understand English. Our people do not.

Indians and Pakistanis learn at least three language, and we do not even learn proper Bengali. We speak peasant Bengali. A Kolkata Indian will know Bengali, Hindi and English at least. It is the same with a Punjabi Pakistani. He would learn Punjabi, Urdu and English.

With the habit of differentiating multiple languages, the brain develops fast and wide that can capture other subjects like math faster because of the more developed brain.

Just supporting domestic demand for next 20 years would decimate the trade deficit.
