Bangladesh government in search of new allies in Asia

I feel that Bangladesh is not given due importance in Indian foreign policy. I believe they should give more.

It has already been speculated that the Bangladeshi diplomats aren't exactly trained for diplomacy. All, thanks to the current foreign minister.

Indian diplomats are known to be among the better ones in the world, but India's foreign policy has not really had too much of an objective. For a greater part of our history it has been dominated by Pakistan,China,Russia and USA. The other neighbours were not exactly very high on the priority list and the relations tended to get damaged. Inept politicians from both India and the other countries involved did not help the cause either.

One piece of advice to bangladesis here:

no one gets anything by begging you have to snatch it.

Grow economically and then go overtly nuclear and then threaten to put bumb under the dumb indian govt's bum then you will see indian govt. itself come running for mercy and will give up everything you wanted.

Come on guys leave it. Its not worth it. Bangladesh is a small country with weak economy with small to none influence in world geopolitics. Who cares which side they choose to go? They can't live with a sustained enmity with India. Geography sees to that.

Its funny so many bravado comments coming from Bangladeshis. They better ought to remember its India that gave them their freedom. And they are free to choose anyone they like. So nice of you India.

bangladesh should not be hostile to india.its not going to serve any good for them.they are like younger brother to india.a healthy trade without much restrictions is favourable for the cause of both countries.and dont blame BSF for killing bangadeshis near the border.they are so fed up by the illegal immigration of b'deshis who are a major cause of insurgency in the north east,that they have to take some serious steps.sometimes i think why dont they become a part of india when they cant prevent their citizens from entering india.dont blame india when all the ruckus is spread by you.

Bangladesh can never ever take an inch of Indian area no matter what happens. Even in worst case scenario, China and Pakistan attacks India at same time and BD plays religious card. Even 100% population will be Muslim in NE. Still it's next to impossible. 2 Gurkha regiments and 50-100 Cruise/BM missile and BD will be stone age in 3-4 minutes and not 5 minutes.

Gurkha people r from Nepali origin i believe . Why don't u refer Rajput or Sikh regiment ?? why do u need to hire troops from nepal ??

Really??? These 'indians' are from nepal and they are serving five different countries(nepal, india, britain, singapore, brunei). These 'indians' are also running to graze on greener grass. Btw if i walked up to a gurkha serving britain and say he is not british will he tear me like the indian gurkha?? The answer is no for both cases cause they are not indian

Gurkha are Nepali also and Indian also. Both Army are proud of it. Never say anything about Gurkhas because first they kill then they talk.
