Inshallah.
But will Bangladesh survive till 2050? Doubtful. Perhaps the Northernmost regions & CHT may, but what of the rest of Bangladesh?

With global warming happening, rising sea levels, wont future Bangladeshis become eco-refugees? AFAIK Already New Zealand takes in a given number of citizens each year from Pacific island nations

Future non-existence of Bangladeshi landmass will impose grave demographic challenges to the Indian Republic

Its a good news for India. As Sea progresses north we will be shifting our country in the north too. As we go north your whole north east gonna overtake Europe too. ;)

The best you can hope for is that we allow your little stinky dighis to cross over to the Arab sands.

Anyone pole vaulting will not land breathing. ;)

Do not compare BD to Pacific nations.

Ever heard of sea walls?

BD will just have to spent an X amount of it's GDP each year to preserve it's land mass like the Netherlands has been doing for a long term.

1. As usual on the Bangladesh sub-forum, a Bangladeshi posts something about Bangladesh and there is a Hindutva invasion, with Hindutva trolls swarming on to the threat like locusts, along with their brothers and allies, Pakistani nationalists.

2. The Hindutva mind in its arrogance and hatred for Bengalis and Bangladesh likes to view Bengal as insignificant and poor.

However here is a reality check for the Hindutva fanatics of this forum.

a: Bengal was the richest part of India in the past.
b: Bengal a few centuries ago was richer than Britain.
c: Bengal was the richest part of India which itself was called "The Jewel in the crown" of the British empire.
d: China 40 years ago was not comparable to any of the European countries but look where it is now.

Can Bangladesh make similar progress over a 40 year period?

Yes, of course. Even now the Bangladeshi economy (not per capita but actual size) is bigger than some EU states.

Since 2008 Bangladesh has had 25% economic growth the 5th highest in the world along with China, Turkey, Brazil and Singapore.

e. 40 years ago or more Bangladesh (then part of the pre-71 united Pakistan) was ahead of South Korea which has now overtaken. Can Bangladesh catch up to South Korea in 40 years time?

Of course.

Is South Korea richer than some EU states, yes of course. Samsung, Daewoo, Hyundai are globally known brands.

So if we look at things such as "facts" and "reality" (an anathema to the Hindutva psyche) we can see that in the past Bengal was prosperous, and in the future it can be too.

you post nonsense and your frequent use of "hindutva" is only amusing. you will be dissapointed to know it is not a bad word for us. hindutvs is same as indian nationalisnm or rather it can be called "cultural nationalism" which every indian subscribes to.

None of the trolls above addressed any of the points I made related to the topic.

Points such as that other Asian states such as China and South Korea have progressed in the space of 40 years.

This is because these they are not interested in serious discussion about the topic, but merely in insulting Bangladesh and Bangladeshis.

They come here to belittle Bangladesh and insult us and then get upset and pretend to be victims when we retaliate.

Hindutva fanatic and idiot, which part of my post was "nonsense"?

Bangladesh's economy has indeed grown by 25% since 2008.

Bengal was the richest part of India centuries ago which is the British in the form of the East India company went to Bengal first and not some desert like Rajasthan.

all the points I made a, b, c, d, e are all facts.

However you cannot see this seeing the world through your saffron-coloured RSS-BJP-VHP-Shiv Sena glasses.

So you are the one posting nonsense and are nothing but an embarrassment to the cause of Hindutva supremacism.

Which Bangladeshi economy are we talking about here? The under-water economy?

Most Indians don't have anything against BD and Bangladeshis.

In fact they are friendly towards the country.

The razakaars and jamaatis here are getting some response because they obsess pathetically about India.

No doubt BD can do well. Every country in the world can do well, given the right conditions.

Nah if we judge your ppl by your actions on this forum, we wont let them in. Either they will drown or beg other nations to take them in. Let;s see what Muslim countries will give you shelter? Let;s see where the Muslim brotherhood is all about? All this time, you and your type use every stinking chance to put down India well...enjoy the seawater...

You are absolutely correct yet you forget one major key aspect....it was the Hindu kingdoms that originally possessed the wealth and knowledge that made Bengal great. Foreign muslim invaders battled to get their foot in.
