Oh that camel hump hijab style has hit Dhaka now. It just about died out for the Bengali girls in UK lol..

But to have original nihari one must look more West.
Yup, it doesn't get better than Pakistan when it's about Mughal cuisine.
Nihari, Haleem, Pulao, Biryani, you name it we have it.

No doubt Lahore is up there food, it was only a few years back, we had nothing. If I can remember not even a Nandos.

Dont know about others in the sub-continent...Dhaka has an authentic North Korean restaurant among the many South Korean ones.....It is run by the DPRK government and you can enjoy Karaoke and Korean propaganda about how Kim il Sung fought the Japanese here!

OK now onto the opposite spectrum. You're a teenager and have almost no money to afford food except maybe fast food. No problem - just head for the food trucks/stalls near road 15 in Banani. Food choices range from burgers, sliders, wraps, dumplings to all kinds of iced drinks. Hygiene level is beyond safe. Some images of the great 'unkempt and unwashed masses' assembled at these joints.

How about some authentic Hakka/Hunan specialties? Dhaka's 'New Cathay' a la carte restuarant has been around for 35 years in the Banani area - and for good reason.

What Chinese restuarant does not serve sweet and sour chicken? But they do it well here...
