If true then our defence budget will have to increase by a billion per year at least.
Maintaining J-10, Mig-35 and Su-35 at a time will be very expensive.

If this is true, the Mig-35 will not come.
A squadron of J-10C and SU-30SME means no
increase required for budget, apart from growth as per GDP increase.

How accurate is this? If true, this is the first ever sale of an advanced fighter made entirely by China. Very exciting news.
I do not know about the source of avionics, but the AL-31 FN engine is procured from Russia. China has replaced its own WS-10 turbofan engine with this more matured Russian engine for J-10B/C. This engine with a thrust of 134.3 kN (30,200 lbf) is also used in SU-27.

Well, because of Bangladesh armed forces secretive nature about weapon procurement, every news is rumor by default.

But, BDmilitary site is moderately reliable source...

Eid for BAF. :yahoo: Thank you @ENFJ (-A / -T) for creating the thread, which i didn't dare to do because of some idiot. Hope those troll won't get triggered seeing BD military's name.

Back to thread. The first batch of BAF pilots already completed training in China. More were sent at the end of last year. BAF secretly signed a deal to procure MRCAs and IJTs from China in March last year so the training is part of that deal. As part of the deal China already started delivery of the 7 K-8Ws.

Maintaining J-10, Mig-35 and Su-35 at a time will be very expensive.
Lets stick with J-10 and Sukhoi series for now. That dream is exceptional.

Some people might doubt the source but this is really serious claim. If this turn out fake this site will be a laughing stock. the publisher of this news also said he saw photos of our pilots taking flight training in J-10. So i am not having any doubt about this. A double engine Su-30/35 with cost effective single engine J-10 is the most possible scenario for BAF.

What is the point of buying both Mig-35 and J-10C?
J-10C can do everything that Mig-35 can do but has more advanced avionics, better stealth and missiles. Both are in the same weight category as well.
it is about platform, single engine and double engine and BAF is already maintaining it.
single engine platform has less operational cost.
BAF always look for combat readiness rather than just storing.
and when you are importer, always diversify so that you must not depend on one particular party to keep operational force.
PAF, IAF and all other importers do same
