Sure but an aircraft carrier strike group would still have to get past the missile defense system of the carrier group and even before that they would have get past the air wing of the ACC. If the aircraft's main role is precision strike weapons, then they will be sitting ducks for the air wing. MIG 29 are specially modified for carrying out attacks on enemy ships so they would be a much better choice. It will be a logical choice for any Navy with limited resources to have Aircraft Carrier strike group to have an opt for dedicated strike fighter in their inventory to keep their potential adversary at bay. Mig-35 or Mig-29 SMT doesn't suit in this role, they have a short leg, limited stand off missile package, and more than anything their sensor suit is much better to doing A to A battle rather than delivering stand off missile in air to surface attack mission. It will be the Air Force choice to have Mig-35 and Su-34 will be a nice addition to their Navy.
Why not Yakovlev Yak-130?
It's far better than K 8, price deference only 5 million
Already bought 24 of them....
