Congrats to the BJP they have done something historic indeed, AFAIK this is the first time in 30 years a party in India has been able to secure an absolute majority on their own. As such they have ZERO excuses now, they don't have any political compulsions due to allies. They have the mandate and now they have to deliver and they must, India needs good governance, revived economic growth and more development.


The stars have aligned for Mr Modi now he needs to deliver on his big promises.

Also this clear mandate means Modi truly is the INDIAN people's (Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh etc) choice and not just one group's.


On a side note I am very pleased the Congress has been decimated in these elections. It is really two fingers up at their divisive and dynastic politics that promises big but fails to deliver. Hopefully this will be the time all politicians in India realise you can't win on your name alone you have to deliver and vote bank politics is a thing of the past, modern day India is all about development and good governance.
