Ballistic missile Nasr: A bigger threat from Pakistan

These jobless writers should refrain from giving such ridiculous explanations of concocted threats. They and everyone buying into this "threat" from Nasr is an embarrassment. It is very doubtful that nuclear weapons would ever be used in tactical form, the decision to nuke India won't be with one bomb, but with perhaps 100 bombs to deter further retaliation, as would India do the same.

Nasr's role is shoot and scoot. A term usually used for artillery shelling. How this writer makes up this whole raam kahani with a straight face is beyond me.

.
The only reasons nukes will come into play are

1. Islamabad (Rawalpindi in real) is threatened...
2. Accidental launch by one side
3. A pre-emptive strike based on flawed information ..

Any other strategy is just a fan boy's internet wet dream...

.
As a 'third strike'
Thats after Indian second strike.
Pakistan may target infrastructure such as ports, airports, major roads, oil and gas installations and dams.

That way Indians will live but India will be crippled.

Indian commanders will know that and may avoid escelation to that level.
Is it that easy? Then tell me...what is pakistan's lifeline? Rivers. Ahh.. all those lush green fertile lands. From where does those rivers flow? India. Forget India launching nukes and all. Just imagine if India decides to dump radiated material into those rivers.. a radiated lifeline. khel khatam dukaan bandh

We are talking about hypothetical scenarios..
This one being the most rediculous one....

.
4. New Delhi is threatened...

Given the disparity between Indian and Pakistani conventional forces plus the Pakistani doctrine of aggressive defence, its only a theoretical possibility .. But even with that, India has a declared no first use policy and hence a no go...

It might sound ridiculous...definitely. But isnt that a possibility isnt that an option? If your answer is no, then pray that you are right.

First of all you talked about when nukes would be used - The same explanation goes that when PA is marching onto New Delhi, nukes would be used by India.

Now you're giving me further khayali pulaos...

Mark these words, when PA is marching onto New Delhi, only an idiot would say "Oh but we have a no-first use policy, let's just sit and watch"...

Taking out Indian nuclear capability-ie using 100 bombs to deter further retaliation- is not possible for China, let alone Pakistan. That is not possible considering the size of India and the number of warheads alone - dispersal is way too high.

There would need to be atleast 3 bombs targeted accurately at each bomb India posesses. Rough estimates put India's arsenal at 100. Pakistan would need 300 nuclear bombs just to have some semblance of a decapitating strike on India when it has perfect information on all the nukes!

Pakistan neither possesses such number of weapons, nor the intelligence required for it.
Considering Pakistan's geographical size and economy, even if even 3 weapons remain with India, it would be enough to destroy Pakistan.

That apart - we now are on the way to field SSBN's.
4. New Delhi is threatened...

That is quite unlikely.

Infact even if all the 4 major neighbours of India in South Asia attack India together - Pakistan, Sri Lanka ,BD and Myanmar - they would still not be able to mount a credible threat to New Delhi.

.
Seriously pakistan is and have been ruled by MAD generals who can put entire world to destruction.U.S senator was right when he said that they made a monster in south asia and to control this, they will always have presence in south asia.

Take example of kargil,They said we wanted to negotiate on siachin. They forgot that india can supply through AIR even national highway is cut and those soldiers can fight there w/o any problem.

General comes inside indian territory and stays there :hitwall:.World needs to control this madness when they openly threaten to use nukes like its fire cracker. and same generals or politicians stay in Uk or west after their tenure is over leaving country in mess.

"when PA is marching onto New Delhi" - The impossibility of this statement is the end of any debate whether We should have No First Use policy or not.

Naa Nau Mann Tel Hoga, Naa Radha Naachegi. :D

You are missing a very big point here.. Even in that theoretical possibility of PA marching onto Delhi :-)lol:) majority of India would still be intact and the hope of regaining the initiative will still exist (which would cease to exist after a full on nuclear exchange).

On the other hand, given the terrain, approaches and Order of Battle, IA reaching Islamabad, would mean that major centers of Pakistan like Lohore, Karachi etc have already fallen and after Islamabad, there is not much left to defend

So come out of Khyali pulao and smell the coffee ;)

Again more Khayali pulao, why would Islamabad's conquest prerequiste major centers falling to India and New Delhi's won't? IA would be given a free tourism tour?

Hum bhi ghoomte phirte India ki sairr karte huay New Delhi ayenge.

Debate karne walay ki marzi jab bhi khatam ho. Jese aapne chaka maara ke Islamabad ki conquest hojayegi, hum ne bhi New Delhi ki conquest kardi.

Then you guys complain when Zaid Hamid talks... You guys are no better.

.
@Awesome I didn't make any such claim. I don't talk in Hypothetical claims. If claims are discussed in a debate, I will rather spectate and want the people involved, in keep doing it. After all, Zaid Hamid is a good comedian because of such talks. :enjo:
