BAKHTER SHIKAN (Pakistani ATGM) destroy T90 tank .

First things first. This is a video of target practice. No one in their right minds would be having a picnic with 8 dudes standing up in open ground with a live tank that close, especially a t90. Secondly I have no way to differentiate between a Bakhtar Shikan and an HJ8. Maybe someone could post some pictures of their similarities and differences. Thirdly could someone blow up the image of where the tank is cause I couldn't see it. I saw the hit but no idea what the target was.

Sir G, my question is, why Pakistan manufacturing such vintage weapon knowing that our opponent has superior capable tanks? It seems a waste of money.

BS is not that bad, why are members here underestimating it ? it has avg 800 to 900 mm penetration if even a marginal error 500mm of penetration could be devastating to sides and weak spots of tank i-e even abrams.

Maximum behind ERA is 750mm (so we can assume the HRA penetartion can be anywhere near 1000 mm Maximum)

However if we look at error and minimum penetration than it is well near to 600 mm with Tandem Warhead

because unless if something happened is not there the things does not happen.

T90 has a formidable platform and has capacity to take few hits of ATGM. single Baktar Shikan being a much older weapon system has a less chances of crippling T90 even in case of direct hit.

DU shell, it not for anti tank missiles, but is for CAS jets guns like A-10/Su-25 and modern tanks carry DU shells which have limited range as compare to anti tank guided missiles and DU shells have not powered flight

Or put it this way, if Baktar shikan is capable enough then why buying Kornet E missile?

Also depand on the version ... t90s with the latest version has protection upto 1400 mm penetration warhead whereas TOW can easily slice through 900 to 1000 mm ERA protection ... so TOW can get older version of T90 but against upgraded version it depand on many factors such as angle , area distance etc

Green Arrow can destroy any IA MBT - be it T-90 or Arjun or T-72.
As for penetration values - depends which area of tank is targeted and hit. Armor on tank is not same everywhere.

Green arrow has silently undergone two modifications. No one knows how much armor the new version can penetrate.

You do know Baktar Shukan and HJ-8 are the same thing?

As for the others calling it an outdated ATGM against T-90 whatever. What you kids forget is even an outdated AT gun can take out the most modern tank if it happens to land a hit at the right spot.
No tank is without weak sections.
And its not always about penetration values and amount of armor. You guys need to read more on tanks and tanks warfare or atleast the history of it.
