After reading your post I have remembered one point. BN first tested this C-802 missiles in the sea and then asked China to modify it. Now, the C-802 we use is lighter and therefore can attack targets at afarther distance. I think, now BAF may also do the similar things with FM-90B SHROD air defense system. This country has to protect its 800+ MBT and other tanks during a war.

Not necessarily. Australia's military is comparatively small to the US or even China. Defense is not their biggest concern. But they are well equipped.

Personally, I do not feel BD faces a ballistic missile threat. Cruise missiles seem more likely, since I can see this system getting installed on naval platforms too.

I wonder if it is effective against anti-ship missile?

Atleast the reason i talked about India w.r.t bangladesh in this article is because some Idiot over here said BD needs offensive firepower.My question is against whom? U have only two neighbours with whom u share borders.Myanmar and India. and only with Myanmar u had a serious conflict albeit small one. And issue with Myanmar is a sea-border one and not some thing u need offensice air power ..then who are u going to use ur planes against..?

Please more than half the ULFA top brass was/is hiding in BD. Only after the new gov came to power in BD, there has been in arresting or fleeing of ULFA leaders to other countries..

I have seen it near biswa road rail crossing......only if I had a camera with me. I was totally overwhelmed at first, the road was miraculously jam-free after Eid...and suddenly my eyes fall on these babies...that was indeed a great view.

Like Bangladesh won't be getting hands on S-300 because India will definitely veto it. These long range Sams will be hard to acquire as they may be termed as "the offensive defence system".

And by the way, this isn't for air force, it is for army. Typically, self propelled AA vehicles are operated by the army. Not air force.

Those things can be very useful to get along with armor formations, and defend from aerial threats.

The word Biman is derived from the sanskrit word Vimana. That is why it sounds similar to the hindi word.
