You dont see us pakistani's going to the US and other nations in real large numbers causing poverty and crime. Take for example Pakistani's in the US hold a share of 300 billion of the total US GPD

If you havnt known most pakistani's hear in the US are doctors, engineers, and buissness owners not trouble causing terrorist

Nor are the afghanis causing poverty and crime, most of the violence in the frontier province is done by locals. That 300billion dollar figure is a load of rubbish, regardless of who said it.

The london train bombings were done predominantly by people of Pakistani origin, yet we dont hear (most) of British politicians calling for mass deportations of Pakistanis. In the same way, most Afghanis in Pakistan are not causing problems, yet there seem to be people who wish to paint all of Pakistan's problems being caused by them.

Not only is your position morally wrong, it is bad economically as well. The influx of refugees has boosted labour supply in many regions, increased trade links with a neighbouring nation and has boosted consumption and therefore GDP. Believe it or not, there are regions in Pakistan (such as Kashmir, Baluchistan and the frontier provinces) which are underpopulated. The population influx has given new life to these economically dead regions.

i am telling you an incident that happen with one of my friend that is working with a CA firm from Pak, He went to do some shopping the shop keeper asked him that are you a Pakistani? his reply was "Yes" The shop keeper simply refused to sell him goods Will you believe? Thats how they treat us.......

You fail to understand that in modern economies natural resource usage contributes very little to GDP. Lol, look at the Solow growth model, natural resources are not even present. The hard to swallow truth is that people are the true resources of the modern economy.

Other people do not only use natural resources (bad for u), they also produce goods which you use (good for u). Unfortuantely arguments like yours deliberatly focus on only on other peoples consumption of natural resources and never on the goods they produce which you use.

Tell your friend to shop somewhere else, there must be many other shops where he lives. I bet hes no even telling the whole story, no one would refuse to sell for profit. I get the feeling that your friend had bought stuff there and had not been up to date with his account and therefore to cover up for his own shortcomings made up this story.

Unfortunately i dont believe your friends story , because there is nothing more powerful than the desire for profits, and if your friend was a profitable customer the sale would have been made.

The influx of people has boosted Pakistan's economy, made use of underutilised land and natural resources and brought with them new trade links with another nation.

With attitudes like this, it will be only a matter of time before Afghanistan's turns fully towards India and there will be indian troops on Paksitans common border with Afghanistan.

The CA that i quoted was for Chartered Accountants firm. the secoond i dont know what sigatoka is all talking about?? Pakistan is from the third world, GoP has very limited resorces, very few of the poeple has taken the benefit from the refugee invasion, no one else will understand even not my fellow countrymen that are from other cities, only Peshawar and Quetta are facing the consequencies and regarding the story of my friend i am telling you again that it was true and it shows only the hate for Pakistan and Pakistanis i dont want GoP to start pushing them to thier country but to keep a close check on them........ and i must admit that i am failed to prove my point but SIGATOKA why are you defending them even you are not realising the ground realities. But most of the afghans own hotel and bus businesses, they are honest and hard working. Always few bad apples in a barrel. We cant deport all of them.

SIGATOKA is saying that hating them because they are Afghani is racism. They are our muslim brothers. we should welcome them to our country as long as they honest & hardworking.

When a person has a disease on the arm, one does not amputate the arm. The arm is treated and bandaged.

Similarlily the solution to the black economy is not to destroy it (the economic activity) but rather to bring it into the legal sphere by improving tax collection and documentation.

Unfortuantely the black economy thrives in Pakistan due to inefficient beuracracy and government corruption. To some degree a black economy is helpful because it allows individuals to circumvent the worst of government economic regulations.

Secondly the black economy is prevalent throughout pakistan by everyone, to single out Afghans is unfair.

To the gentleman who stated that most of the pakistanis in the U S are doctors and engineers------senor-----you are completely ill-informed. Majority of pakistanis in the U S and any other foreign country are poor labour class. There is a misconception amongst the pakistanis about their higher status. Now, don't get me wrong on this----if we admit to our true social standing, at least there is a place to get upto. There is no shame in hard labour and hard work.

Afghanistan is for the afghanis----the four million afghanis must be sent back to their nation-----they have taken a very heavy toll of our resources----their welcome has long become unwelcome. Some pakistanis have a habbit of taking a weak stance. We are a sovereign nation. Our soil, our laws, our citizens and people have rights that supercede those of the afghanis. Afghanis must go home and build their own nation. Enough is enough.

Remember one thing young pakistanis------you are citizens of your country which gives you a certain identity and pride of ownership of the nation that you call pakistan. Just to give it away for a brotherhood that is never really tested is a total disrespect of our motherland.

I am very much aware of the Muslim brotherhood and we must help them, we are helping them and keep helping them till we could but the point is why WE why only Pakistan and Pakistani suffer, I am a muslim first and then a Pakistani then something else......... i know most of the guys around me, i am working in kabul and still there most of the afghan families are in PAK, they are working here in kabul and still always use to say bad things about our country, i think just because they were influenced by the comunist regeime or the durand line issue still haunting them and they discuess this at every level, Is this what they are supposed to discuess being muslim brothers that are still living on our soil???? This issus is long long ago settled, why they are not agreeing to put barb wire on fence??? The main reason is DURAND LINE, they discuessed the same thing in parliament a month ago, If you poeple not agree with me just start watching TOLO TV of Kabul it is always airing negetive propeganda against Pak and Pakistanis, all these channels from Afg should be banned in PAK........ Truth and justice doesnt not require a person to be Pakistani or to have visited Pakistan. I dont need to go to Peshawar or to Pakistan to understand racism, i can see that by steping out the front door.

Mr. Kaiser very kind of you!! I'd be happy to go, I've never been to Pakistan. Yes, and Marriott please. But seriously, in a way Texas also has a "refugee" problem. It's Mexicans here. They are cheap labor, they get exploited and by and large not really accepted by the US populace. I'm not being racist but crimes seem to be higher in Hispanic 'hoods. I think what Pakistan is experiencing today is blowback from the 80s and the Afghan war. Pakistanis, please enlighten me on this. Did the gunsmiths and black market with narcotics exist before the 80s in the frontier area?

Don;t see this as personal but most heroin countries are result of CIA setting up those farms and using them to buy weapons to fight opponent. It happened in eastern asia... In Afghanistan... And yep. Some nations in Latin America. The strange thing is that those narcotics ended up in US and now they have to fight those druglords...
