your lords buying plot with that money!
How else Generals gonna get the shaheeds they want for making songs?

Can we buy more of these Chinese armored cars? Hell we in the overseas
Will even donate money for it like in dam fund's etc (provided it's not used for corruption, thorough auditing)

Or take Bajwas properties, sell it, we can buy more than a dozen of these atleast

Better yet we'll be proud to buy properties in DHA etc if that money goes directly into better protection for FC, Army soldiers
Pakistan doesn't need to ask China, Pakistan's cavalier group produces the Hamza 6x6 MRAP which is currently being rolled out after first dabuting in 2016. PA has 200 on order, after it was developed and tested for over 6 years.

Manufacturing lines should be expanded on an emergency basis and the MRAP rolled out on a large scale.

We have thousands just gathering dust in army bases, but the generals don’t give the soldiers permission to use them
WTF? This is genuinely news to me. I used to think we didn't have the resources (to spare from lavish golf clubs etc etc.)

That we already have the required equipment but choose not to use them is maddening.

There needs to be an urgent revision of our current capabilities in tackling nation-wide high-level insurgency. The possibility is higher now than ever. Load up on MRAPs vehicles and increase drone production, TB2s, Akincis, etc.

I think mid-2000s level could return soon.

The right wording here is not dangerous, but rather tricky. Guerilla warfare requires a different doctrine and tactics.

That’s why I said they’re not a truly dangerous threat.

All that needs to be done is to take precautions in the form of thermal drones, have quick response teams ready, and you have taken away the guerilla fighters’ greatest advantage

We literally have hundreds just lying around.

It makes pretty much everyone feel insanely angry and helpless when you realise that the commanding board doesn’t even let them get used

Pakistan doesn't have them in the thousands. Only a few hundred, and they're mostly used to guard bases.

Declare a curfew in Quetta and deploy troops for some urban guerrilla warfare. There are thousands of Afghans living in that city protecting a supply network from Afghanistan.

So you’re suggesting that we do what the Indians do in IOK?

I’m pretty sure that we have a couple thousand armoured vehicles (excluding tanks, but including APCs and IFVs)

Quetta has needed an operation for more than a decade. It should have been included in Zarb e Azb.

They are scared to do a full scale operation in Baluchistan. Quetta is infested. Clearing Quetta would solve 50% of the problems.

Waziristan needs to be surrounded and we need to identify who is a Afghan and who is a Pakistani. Many imposters.

You can keep applying a plaster and attacking them in the mountains but the real battle is their supply network in towns and cities. We need a permanent solution. There needs to be consequences for their actions. There needs to be a red line.

.
I still believe that MRAPs aren’t entirely the way forward here. The ISI needs to establish an intelligence network within Quetta and all major cities, to identify TTP supply chains and members,

In actual convoys, the leading vehicle and the last vehicle should both be MRAPs, whilst the middle should be armoured mine resistant Hiluxes

Or, just give everyone an MRAP, because they're 1000 times safer than a mine resistant Hilux.

How do MRAPs guard bases? Aren't they used more for transport?
That's what they're supposed to do, so I have no clue why as well? The point being, they're too few in numbers right now to be effective even if they're given out and used properly.

If the Hamza MRAP is bought in large enough quantity, you'll quickly see casualty rates drop.

I think Waziristan and adjacent areas is where most attacks take place - correct me if I'm wrong?

How often is there attacks in Quetta or surrounding areas?

This intelligence based war.

1). What Blochistan needs is Heavy surveillance and uncover agents and spies, informants.

2). Identify where money and materials is originating from.

3). Heavy headed covert and overt operations.

4), Tit for tat response inside foreign countries in question. Once their intelligence agencies get the message, this will stop.

Spare $500 million fir 1000 plus MRAPs. US military is trying to get ride of its several thousand MRAPs. Get them on discount.
