That's not been my experience. One thing is clear if you meet lots of people. Not everyone is exactly the same, even if they appear to be. Some atheists are bad people and some are not. The same is true of religious people.

U can only get enlightened to atheism, not converted.

Someone pointed out a few bible verses and if taken literally, everyone would leave the jewish religion and christian religion for Islam or some other religion.

I'll give you a hint, the bible is not meant for the Chinese, not meant to save the Chinese, nor anyone else for that matter, not even jews. Islam is the way to go. Or for the Chinese, Taoism or some other Chinese traditional philosophy. I have a great deal of respect for Confucius.

First of all, in normal day to day living, we don't encounter cases where we have to choose one over the other. IF, this comes to pass, it is because He Tests His servants. So our job is to comply with His Laws, and having done so, it will NEVER be the case that we lose. If temporarily it seems that we have sacrificed our parents' wishes, He will Reward all of us with many times what we originally lost.
