Last Updated On 29 September,2017 11:54 am

The authorities warned that the death toll "is likely to go up".
MUMBAI (AFP) - Commuters stampeded on a Mumbai railway bridge during the morning rush hour Friday killing at least 15 people, a disaster management official said.

The cause of the stampede was not immediately known but Tanaji Pawar, a spokesman for Mumbai’s disaster management cell, warned that the death toll "is likely to go up".

He said there were at least five critically injured as well as the 15 confirmed dead.

Stampedes have occurred in many Hindu temples killing hundreds.
You must also be aware of 2000 people being killed in Mecca stampede.
Are they all ants...???
Have some respect for the dead, they are after all human beings.

I've reported the post. As well as the members thanking the filth.

Mumbai stampede: 27 dead, over 30 injured at Elphinstone railway station
In videos emerging from the Elphinstone railway station in Mumbai, people can be seen trying to climb over the railings of the stairway to escape the stampede.

All graphic images are posted elsewhere. No one here is a photo journalist sharing original real time captures.

There is a very clear rule of an instant ban on PDF for posting graphic images.

I do not understand the depravity of a person who exults in the death of a woman or child in the crush of a stampede.

RIP ti the dead, speedy recovery to the injured.

BTW, India is the only country, in fact, the first country in the world that has introduced semi bullet trains. :enjoy:

I appreciate your comprehension skill to derive meaning from my writing which even I do not know. To who should I give credit for that? Your sharp intellect or your unparallel education or your born and bought up?

Story emerging is that 4 trains landed at once on different platforms.

Leading to hasty re-directing.

Anyone living in Mumbai and traveling by locals would tell you it is not uncommon. I don't know if it was raining and that contributed.

People were rushing from one platform to the other on the over-bridges. To catch their trains.

Apparently 4 women running together lost their footing and fell, screaming.

That created a panic.

And then a stampede. Very horrible man .... we had a bad one years ago at a famous hill top temple with a fire, close to Poona.
