That roughly makes 1 soldier for every 4 Kashmiris. So let me get this straight...your very well trained army which has a ratio of 1 to every 4 Kashmiris (making it the most militarized region on Earth) cannot stop a bunch of terrorists from crossing the LoC? What are they doing there then? Playing Ludo?

Also, she and others like her managed to shut down the first all-girl Kashmiri music band called Pragaash. The band received support from the then CM Omar Abdullah.

I am sure among the militants ( who call themselves as freedom fighters ), there are many whose ideology resembles that of the TTP.

If the Indian Kashmir ever became part of Pakistan, you will have many more Lal Masjids.



No doubt the Pakistani Kashmir looks developed ( Please note that I have not visited the Indian side of Kashmir ).

Also, I gather that there are separatist sentiments in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

All in all, it's not a situation to be taken at face-value.

In the end blood shed should be stopped on both sides whether India or Kashmir/Pak side. Kashmir should flourish and economies of both countries should also reap benefits. A plebiscite should be held in Jammu and Kashmir with options A. to be annexed in Pakistan, B. Independent Estate, C. to be inducted in India.

The majority vote option should be implemented. Then interests of all three parties should also be secured through a tri party agreement. End this blood shed started due to British utter incompetence at time of partition same things happening in Burma.

Umm...where are you getting you statistics from? Please provide a source for these numbers. As far as neutral news sources go, India has amassed over 900,000 troops in IOK. This makes it 1 soldier for every 5 Kashmiris on average.
