South Asia should have a high stakes football tournament every year. The intense rivalry might generate some more commercial interest in the sport and bring us out of our cricket mania.

We have the SAFF Cup which is anything but high stakes as India keeps on winning it every time. Indian football is way ahead of other South Asian nations and it's time for us to withdraw from it and join some other cup like probably the Gulf Nations one or the ASEAN one.
Right now, cricket is the only sport where other South Asian countries have a chance of competing with India and edging us over. That's why there's such an interest in this sport. Earlier, there were good hockey games between India and Pakistan but the current Pakistan team lacks the fitness level to even be in the top 10 let alone beat India.

If Chokli and Nohit are in the team, then no hope. Sadly that would be the case.


That Kohli is long gone. He might still be a little relevant in ODIs but in T20s HELL NO!!!

Kohli played a decent consolidating knock today but yes, he seemed out of touch. He still has plenty of games to get back in the groove. Rohit is the kind of player who fails miserably sometimes but if he gets going, it's very difficult to stop him.

I know trolling requires no qualification, but it is an increasingly competitive arena, so it is better to come with some basic statistics. India leads Pakistan 15-3 in football. Not trying to boast, as we are both crap in the sport, but some perspective helps. Or perhaps it doesn't
