Ashraf Ghani from UAE: Supports Taliban Talks!

. . .

" In his message posted to Facebook, Ghani said he supported talks between the Taliban and top former government officials, after it emerged that Taliban members had met with former president Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah, who headed the failed peace process. "

. .

He can talk once he gives some of that $169mill USD in unpaid wages to his army, police, and civil service employees.

Although one could argue the Afghan army doesn’t deserve to get paid. Ghani is a crook he should turn over any money he stole from the Afghan state.

Update: Ghani is denying he took money out of the country despite others reporting he has. This could be him trying to muddy the waters but who knows.

Only people involved in the talks

Should be people who stayed in Kabul

Abdullah, Gulbadeen, Karzai even the Pak hater who is in Afghanistan rn

But I guess he is planning a rebellion so I guess no for him

Actually, the value of this video is enormous for Pakistan's narrative building and should be milked to the fullest! Here is the former President of Afghanistan--claiming to be still the President of Afghanistan-- is okay with a new coalition govt where the Taliban will share power. A. Ghani was the most prominent 'ally' of America until barely 3 days ago.

. . .
So the anchor Imran Khan says no one was giving Ashraf Ghani a refuge--not even India--but the Indian lobby in UAE helped.
I don't think hanging an unpopular and corrupt person like A. Ghani serves Pakistan's purpose. What would help is this crook and arrogant person gives his whatever seal of approval to a new Taliban-led govt.

It’s better to be in UAE than to become a puppet in London just like noora/altaf. Think of it like that.

It’s a wise political move

There is no political move in this! Ashraf Ghani escaped to protect himself and is delusional that he will be accepted by Afghans when his own Defense Minister Mr. Bismillah publicly 'cursed' him for leaving. UAE was probably the only option left if the rumors about Tajikistan denying him asylum are true.

And I think the only way he would go back to Afghanistan will be through an arrangement made with or without American support but certainly with Taliban support in such a way that he would legitimize the new setup. And I think that's the only value left of this guy now.

It is still too early to say what Americans are going to do. But the repeated messages by both Blinken and Biden is that they want to focus on Russia/China and that Afghanistan was draining American resources. We shall see what happens when the full evacuation is made...not many days to go for that.
