I was reading another opinion piece and you might've come across it as well today. Which stated the main recognition that's needed is from Pakistan, China and Russia to recognize the Taliban led government. NATO legitimacy or recognition isn't necessary at this point, and will bring no benefit. Geopolitically speaking the US & Co., has been made redundant in the Central Asian Great Game, and the main powers that matter as stated above is all that's needed to seal the deal.

Yes. America has pissed off Pakistan, Iran, China and Russia at the same time! However it is still a Superpower with lots of rich and powerful allies.
If someone were to wish the best for America it would be the advice General Tariq Khan gave in an interview posted on this forum some weeks ago: Work as a competitor to China in Pakistan. America could kick the Chinese a$$ in Pakistan, as the General implied. THAT is the way forward for Americans!

The U.S. and excuse my language fucked up it's geopolitical strategy in the region for decades to come.

I don't think there is any doubt left!! And blame it on the lobbies which are busy with deep pockets in Washington DC.
For an example, Afghanistan was going to be difficult enough, given its history. This was not an invasion of Granada. But then G.W. Bush decided to invade Iraq, in no small part due to the Israeli Lobby. Look up the press in 2002/2003 and you will find a disproportionate number of 'Americans' of certain origin. THAT had doomed the American mission in Afghanistan.
And these bastard lobbies are not done. Indians are salivating over the Indian diaspora in America to steer the American policies to India's benefit even if they are to hurt American interests. And it's only a matter of time.
PS. Yes, I do have a sense of loyalty to this land where I live! Surrounded by Gorays, I know how we resent our tax dollars going to waste and often in ways which makes the world hates all Americans.

The military industrial political contractor complex milked America for 20 years if not longer. War for the sake of war profiteering. I too am Loyal to the land I live in (surrounded by mostly Gorays but also people of all ancestries but every bit the Americans as our fellow Goray neighbors) and hope we learn to outcompete China rather then waste money in self-harming wars.
