Asad Umar Interview!

.
Good to know he will do something about automobile sector. The sector is over protected and something needs to be done. Looks like Malick wants to upgrade his car but can't wait for 6 months delivery time :D

Expensive and low quality...years behind the world.

lolzzz... you should start hearing from your ears.

.
he has lots of challenges right ahead ... while PTI has no majority in senate so even if a bill passed through NA it will stuck in to senate ... therefore first thing they need to do is to make some cosmetic changes so that the ordinary public can stand on the back of PTI and it will force the opposition to provide some sort of support to PTI in legislation

The way this so-called next Finance Minister is cheerleading going to IMF alongwith the program host is making me wary and fearful.
Every sh*tty govt. since 2008 has started their rule by going to IMF and increasing living cost for the PAkistan resident.
There was a Shaukat Tarin from the corporate world in 2008 who negotiated with IMF and its ramifications were disastrous. By 2010 he resigned and took exit. DEvastated economic output putting manufacturing into the negative.
Pakistan should make tough decisions by reducing their import bill instead of going to the IMF.
PTI is boasting of a huge manifesto same as PPP. There manifesto will be crappy piece of paper with same results once they allow IMF, another disaster in the making.

How would you rather have the money financed if not go to the IMF?

IMF is not a done deal. Listen to Asad Umar's words again.

Rofl so IMF is the silver bullet for everything. There are plenty of options available. PTI was not voted in to go to IMF.
These bailouts are not for aam aadmi they are for deadwood in PIA and rest of broken govt.
If it can't manage better default. Do the things it should've done like not throwing more money into broken sh*tholes like PIA.
EVery govt. starts their rule by going ot the IMF and bring in US into their decision making and then again after 4 years when they are thrown out by public they bring in IMF again.
Opposition will massacre PTI and if its voter base leaves it wont survive 2 years.
PTI said they would be different from the previous govt.s now they need to prove it.

I agree. IMF is the absolute last resort option, but Pakistan has already surpassed that. I would still bypass IMF and focus on other options if possible.

Although instead of calling Asad Umar a cheerleader how about cussing those that put Pakistan in this position in the first place? Don't blame PTI for anything. We all knew what was happening when Ishaq Dar and Nawaz Sharif were taking IMF loans upon more IMF loans.

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has broken all previous records of taking foreign loans, as it borrowed $40 billion from external sources during its four and half years tenure.

https://nation.com.pk/26-Dec-2017/government-got-record-40b-loans

PTI will be inheriting this sh!t.

Rofl when you're cheerleading IMF bailout just tell me what are IMF conditions they will impose on us after the bailout.
Are you aware of it please post it here and if this is just food price rise I will not oppose it.

Please also tell for whom this bailout is for. Not the average taxpayer for the daakus and robbers in PIA to reward them for their 'great service' and political backing.

IMF is designed to suit US interests, what would be the conditions imposed? USA in every meet with a Pakistan icounterpart asked them when they will be comntacting IMF. And IMF in every meet has been showing displeasure in Chinese building infrastructure like roads in balochistan, dams in Azad Kashmir. This is just apiece of info. there is much more details in which US needs to attain leverage to arm-twist us according to their desires.

In early 70s Pakistan had partially defaulted under bretton woods when Mubashir Hassan was Finance Minister and the institutions themselves gave cushion to Pakistan.
IMF has already pushed half of Pakistan under poverty just for some thugs in the govt. its not going to hurt us thtat much.
Pakistanis have been squeezed so hard under IMF, even default is a great option it will rid us of this sh*thole public companies that have survived on taxpayer money to screw the taxpayer.

This corporate guy Asad Umar should deliver on his huge mainfesto like the diaspora bonds, or bringing taxpayer money back from corrupts bank accounts or reduce import bill.
PTI needs to deliver of imposing taxes on wealthy and privatizing these deadhorses PIA and steel mill. or just default.

We will survive, when we can survive IMF conditions we can survive anything
