The 16% is only the direct expense, and when other hidden budgets such as the nuclear program and retirement accounts etc. are taken into account, it is even bigger.
May be next time they will see flying elephants over Xanadu!

No point debating, most of the people here are ex military or have relations in the military. They will only believe what they want to believe, corrupt souls, corrupt minds.
We'd have a defence budget of around 30 billion $ if we were spending 16% of our GDP on military.
