Army orders ALCOTAN Shoulder Fired Anti Tank Weapon System

No Hazrat It doesn't take a lot of time, Think about it! For one second, Become Fauji Hazrat Zarvan.
  1. Fauji Hazrat Zarvan has a Carl Gustav Which is a recoilless rifle a long tube that needs a loader the loader has to first take the round out of the casing then prep it it it needs then load it. Once loaded he has to inform Fauji Hazrat to fire it. Then Fauji Hazrat Zarvan has to take aim and fire.
  2. Fauji Hazrat Zarvan has to fire ALCOTAN 100. Fauji Hazrat Zarvan picks up the aiming sight attaches to the rocket takes aim and fire.
Tell me which is easier to use? One needs two people the other is just picked up and fired. Carl Gustav you still need to carry launcher and ammo. ALCOTAN just carry sight and tubes.

Yups that i know. Rpg-32 is a similar weapon with different warheads.

But this weapon not effective in the desert areas where max engagements will happen, that is why i said for getting those weapon systems. These short range weapons r good for ambushes and may be in green areas of punjab where teams can be hidden but not where long range engagements will happen.

Very good for LoC and Punjab areas.

Sorry to say but Zarwan is right on this. The issue isn't whether or not they're disposable - ALL WEAPONS ARE DISPOSABLE - it's whether or not the tube is reusable which sadly is NOT the case with this last generation weapon bought by PA. And no, most of the new ones are NOT single-shot systems.

As PAR 5 said, this is a retirement scheme seeing as though there is a single-source middleman involved that has no prior expertise or future capability.

For those who are asking what is it single fired weapon and why not have a reusable tube like Carl Gustaf, below is quoted from the link which may give you an idea:

"

Because it’s cheap and lightweight and we rarely need to use them more than once.

The AT4 costs $1500. It weighs about 15 pounds.

The M3 Carl Gustaf, another recoilless rifle in the US arsenal that is reusable costs $25,000 just for the tube and $500–3,000 per shell. The tube alone weighs 19 pounds and obviously requires a team/operator to carry more than one round to benefit from being reusable. Because of the weight, it’s most effectively used by a team (which is how it’s almost always deployed).

The reusability and versatility of systems like the M3 or the RPG7 simply can’t justify the weight/cost/inconvenience of employing them the same way we employ the AT4. AT4s are dirt cheap and can be easily slung over the shoulder to be used by anyone. Even the cheapest/most compact reusable systems typically don’t lend themselves to individual use like that, at least not ideally. "

This is the front company for said procurement. Please review its profile to see its prior experience in 'military' sales such as the Infantry Weapons & Products. This company is actually an engineering metal construction company that belongs to the relative of the superseded Major General who devised this deal for buying ALCOTAN 100 in a hurry and as his retirement plan post his scheduled retirement from GHQ in 2019. He also personally led the Army technical team to Spain to the company's HQ to 'see' the 'demo' of the equipment. Why is a Major General so interested in leading an Army team to see demo of a 'shoulder fired weapon' whilst the same could have been handled by a Colonel at max. This is because financial setting is easy in Spain then it is under prying intelligence eyes in Pakistan. Following is the further details of the front company in Karachi.

Sir I really doubt in time of war you want to use this weapon for only one time. The enemy will not come with one Tank or IFV for that matter. There would be several of them so stop them you know need several of these along with other weapons.

Stop your ignorant rants, let others with some knowledge discuss in peace.

The Alcotan 100 is basically a rocket that can fire itself. So instead of having a dedicated launcher for your anti-tank rockets, the rockets can be picked up and fired independently.

Here this is the issue because of which I am against disposable weapons. Although the video shows how cool the weapon is but issue putting that weapon in place takes time and ever time before firing new rocket of if you have to do it than it's suicidal in time of war
@Path-Finder
Again ZArvan, have you taken a moment and though about what i mentioned?

WHY would all those countries (around 60) buying similar weapons in MILLIONS?
As i mentioned, there are MILLIONS of examples produced and there are some 60 different users. how may else you want?

The Javelin is same
The NEXT GENERATION American weapons in development is also disposable
The British MBT-LAW
The top notch German Panzerfaust-3

What more are you looking for? :)
You seriously think that all these systems are not worth it because you do not like them and they countries were stupid that they went for them?
Still not looking that JUST MAY BE there is a possibility that these countries were not idiots after all and there is certain advantages these systems offer that you didn't though of!! Dont you feel that those things will be interesting for you to learn too? are you interested in that part at all?

Can you please think once, for a change, that what may be the advantages you will realize the reason why all the people are going for disposable system these days. Please think about this alone and you will get the answer to your LOC question, if not i will explain about it but at least think for a moment that may be the system is not that bad only because you do not LIKE it and may be there is some sensible explanation why all those idiot countries are option g for such systems.
Are you saying that what you think is actually much more authentic and logical than all the heads of those 50-60 militaries around the world? May be even that is possible but just tell me if you have even THOUGH about the possible reasons or what came to your mind is a harf-e-akhir now and CANNOT be changed? Are you open to logical debate and brain storming is what i ask you!
If the army has selected it it knows more than you
Around 50 armies, over a dozen similar systems, in use in MILLIONS but NO!! Here is our friend not ready to even think about the possibilities that might have made those idiot armies select such a weapon.
