Because deep inside we are a destructive people, when I was in Pakistan I did take part in some of those "violent protests", you just don't know how much pleasure the protestors draw when they can do their "badmashi" against shopkeepers to shut their shops or "puncture" the vehicles on the road because how dare they come on the road while a "protest" is going on. And the protestors used to love the flames coming out of those tires that are burnt on roads to block the roads and then on top of that those energetic slogans against the authorities in power.
