Apache down-selected for Bangladesh attack helicopter requirement

Will you stop bullshitting about this strategic ally crap on every single thread. We are not allies not even friends. India is a potential enemy and the bigger threat comparing to MM!!!
True Bangladesh is a potential enemy in future post Hasina. I dont why that guy is saying the same in every thread.
As of now transactional allies.

True as BD will join Muslim bloc in the future that will be set up.

Imagine a developed country of 200 million people in 2050 in your Eastern border!

Only concern i feel is 200 million population within 147k sq km area.....density 1115/sqkm
Comparitively Indian with 1.3 billion people , density is still 330 / Sq Km
In 2050 population of Bangladesh will be even bigger.
With rising sea levels and Climate change hope for the best.
As for India - Bangladesh , we dont have any ongoing disputes anyways , probably only Teesta river issue is remaining.
Thats why i said we will be transactional allies , each having its own priorities......

Any adversarial action by Bangladesh towards India would be retaliatory. The ball is entirely on Indian court regardless of who is in charge in Bangladesh.
Despite having a supposedly super-friendly regime in power in BD, you guys find new ways to antagonise Bangladeshis everyday.

Any future conflict will be the result of your inept leadership.

West Bengal, Bihar etc has more density than Bangladesh.

They are states , people there can move to other states , overall density is still average in India. There's no such option for Bangladesh. Plus most of Bangladeshi coastal land is delta and marshy swamps

Same , depends on the leadership of both the countries. It takes two hands to clap.
But as of now we dont have any disputes with Bangladesh.

There will not be any muslim bloc and there should not be. Religion should be the least concern in 21st century to actually progress.

Exactly .... religion should never be mixed up in such matter... It will only be a hurdle to make Indo BD strategic partnership more solid.... We are brothers by default...

Yes there will as non-Arab Muslims like Turks, Iranians, Indonesians,Malaysians and BD’shis are progressive.
Muslim bloc will be a good balance to domination by West and China.

Is BD Apache weapons package same as India? Are they getting HARM missiles?

Not been confirmed what the package is yet.

It is not like BD likes USA weapons because they are more reliable and less maintenance platforms.... It's commonality of the platform being worked out between India and Bangladesh as they are strategic allies .... Apache is a start of this... Next step MIG 35 from Russia... :enjoy:

Dude, are you listening to anything that BD posters are telling you?

BD has 2 threats - India and Myanmar.

Russia is friends with both and so has been ruled out as supplier.
Also Russian aviation is on the way down.

For Myanmar BAF will buy from West and for India BAF will buy from China.

No as BD population will reach 200 million and then probably start to fall as it is already at replacement level of 2.1 children per woman.
No problem supporting this many people in BD land as it is highly fertile and no more dense than SE UK and that has plenty of free space.
BD is working with Netherlands to protect land from rising sea levels as part of “Delta Plan 2100” and amount of land that BD will have is actually increasing due to sedimentation from Himalayas.

Not that I'm aware of. If that's the case, Japan's X2 and Korean KFX would've already made significant progress by now. Fighter jet develpment is a complex process unless you intend to reverse engineer it or have significant ToT from current gen fighters

KFX/IFX progress is quite fast actually. It has started building the component since February 2019 for the first prototype and critical design phase has reach 70 percent in September 2019. Look like critical design phase (detail design) has been completed by now and the program can focus on building the first prototype. After Critical Design Review meeting on September 2019, the official statement stated that they are confident to complete first prototype in early 2021.

By reading the mindset of Muslim people as well as their leaders I wonder how do you prophesize such an odd unity among them that will end in a military block.

I do not see any such prospect except that it would make me happy if they no longer cut the throats of each other. These countries are experts at killing each other and then squarely blame the West for it.

Sanghi Bhartis come up with these Bull$hit population density statements about Bangladesh anytime they want to push the 'Muslims breed like rats" theory. Idiots should shove it to where the sun don't shine...

Well guess what. Last time I looked - Normal people don't like to live in snowy Himalayan mountain peaks nor hot as hell Thar desert (i.e. any land you cannot farm easily). India's arable land ratio is far worse than Bangladesh (regardless of Internet bull$hit theories pushed by Sanghis) and actually is heavily more drought prone than in Bangladesh. The arable land to actual land available is somewhere around 75+% in Bangladesh. Sanghis think they are so smart when their collective brains are full of gobar...

There is a reason population WAS high in Bangladesh (or even most of Bengal) at one time. It was because the land COULD SUSTAIN a higher population and still can. You don't even have to irrigate or till the land which floods EVERY YEAR. Throw down a bunch of rice seeds and they will grow.

Automagically.

Sanghis should not judge their God-forsaken drought-stricken lands with ours in Bangladesh.

X2 Shinshin first flew in 2016. But future is a bit uncertain as they have asked US firms to join the program (Lockheed Martin is one company).
