I understand. For the most part I trust him. But there is no proof of NGO;s meddling. It is only hearsay. There is nothing wrong with ppl protesting. They are concerned and they have the right to be. When the first world who has more wealth and development than us, states nuclear energy is not going to be in their future, then we should all take notice. The risks outweigh the advantages. The reason why ppl don;t trust our govt is because of corruption. THe govt is willing to tackle any other issue except corruption. Unless you tackle that, there will continue to be problems.

When the first world who has more wealth and development than us, states nuclear energy is not going to be in their future, then we should all take notice. The risks outweigh the advantages.

When people are willing to pay Rs. 20/- per unit & willing to surrender 100's of thousands of acres for solar & other ideas, we can have this discussion. The Europeans can afford to talk about this, they wouldn't allow any fishermen like those protesting to survive in the first place what with all their regulations.

Risk is there for everything & everyone. How it is managed is important, anyone discarding nuclear power in the present context is being silly & irrational. When we as a society are both as advanced & most importantly, as wealth as Europeans are, we should then imagine alternatives. Not now.
