Another Captain Martyred in Awaaran, Balochistan

Army has MRAPS and used them during our WOT. Balochistan remains the big hot spot where these IED attacks happen. But you must remember that the terrain of Balochistan doesnt exactly help. Id prefer drones than MRAPS. Can cover more area and engage targets at the same time. All the while, the operator is safe.

But tanks have another advantage over the MRAP. Morale. Which would improve your morale more? Seeing a MRAP being deployed in a firefight, firing his MG (depending on the mrap) or seeing the tank being deployed firing his 125mm HE-FS shell which obliterates the target?

As for HIT... My friend.... In the 2000s we needed a good counter to the indian t72s and t90s. The t80ud (i know its from the 90s really), Al Khalid and Al Zarrar investments have allowed to neutralise that threat. Like i said. Army has to keep its qualitative edge in conventional warfare
Then pray tell, how on earth did we have resources to spend on a manufacturing base of a Dragoon APC? Something not even the Army inducted?
perhaps we can reach out to the South Africans, they seem to produce efficient barebones designs in the 80s for their war in Angola. Even a mix of older vehicles in bulk might work as long as our troops are protected.
South Africa is the go-to country for these, heck even Rhodesian war MRV designs can be modernized and replicated. Anything is better than a Hilux.

Since years I write this.

A long-range reconnaissance patrol, or LRRP (pronounced "lurp"), is a small, well-armed reconnaissance team that patrolsdeep in enemy-held territory.
But that's too dangerous, considering enemies now have access to NVGs and thermal sights. It could end in a serious disaster.

You are right, my second suggest is to build drone and helicopters bases ( also landing starting strips for jets) which cover the whole war theater, as you mentioned in earlier posts, close air support from Drones, Helicopters or jets must be available for every post, convoy, bunker, patrol etc.

Posts must be replaced by bunker or fort complexes.

Air borne support ( back up call) must be available 24 hours for every post, soldier etc.

Long range foot patrols by light commando and FC units through the Enemy territories is a must. Sitting in posts and waiting for the next massacre is not proactive.

The whole war doctrine and strategy in the so called „hybrid war“ must be changed from passive to proactive. But there are better expert’s then you and me, the results seem not become better not we see any changes. The next advice for you and me would Just shut up and watch, so let’s 🙏.
There is no enemy territory. This is our own land. Balochistan is not a no-go area, not even the most insurgency effected districts are not no-go zones like lalukhet in Karachi once used to be, or Fata was when there was no writ of state there. What is needed is protection from IEDs and ambushes. Pick-up dalas could not give those. If some bright minds think MRAP-type vehicles are unsuitable for the terrain, what is HIT doing? Why not make equipment suiting our operational requirements? Have pick-up dalaas given results in the past? On how many occasions have FC defeated ambushes or made the attacks peter out while traveling in convoys of dalas (death traps)? Affection for the army should be translated into advocacy for their lives, not backing flawed policies.

Why are we unable to clear IEDs in Balochistan? This is something going on for some while now while no solution seems to be on the minds of the higherups. Such a pathetic response.

There's a very good reason such vehicles exist today and even African countries are procuring these and many countries used such vehicles IN Afghanistan. I don't understand why Pakistan Army isn't considering these

Test pe test krte rehte hain jab khareednay ki bari aati hai to budget muk jata hai na rifles aani hain na armored vehicles Bas Shaheed ka laqab laga k taranay bajaty jao.
