I think your problem is that you got serious issues with INDIA.

"The next ICC Cricket World Cup will be held in 2011 in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka."

To me the Indian obstructionism seems to stem out of the same hostility to Pakistan that we saw in the IPL, along with greed, which is probably why Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are supporting the Indians.

I see no legal reason why, if the UAE has adequate infrastructure to host the Pakistani matches, Pakistan should not be allowed to shift her share of the matches to the UAE.

and that does not bring UAE in the venue's........besides UAE does not have a home team playing(i.e- it is not a cricket playing nation ....so you can forget it)

regarding ipl- your country barred your players from coming to india for the ipl....... the venue of which was later changed to south africa ..... so you just had hard luck...... and after mumbai -the people here still have not cooled down so you can imagine what would have happened if pakistani players played .... now imagine a pakistani player playing for "mumbai indians ".....

Get your facts correct, the National elections were clashing with the dates of IPL. Conduct of free & fair elections takes precedence over cricket. In India elections ARE taken seriously. It had less to do with security but more to do with resources need alongside for the games & elections ( Bandobast.. as the admistration calls it).

... and the 1st post says Butt had a run in with the BD boss also , how come no one is cribbing about this ?

I have never seen a country shifting its domestic tournament becuase the dates clashing with elections!

It was due to security, nothing more and nothing less. period

Regarding BD boss, He has got no problems with pak hosting their matches in UAE, India has!

Ofcourse there's no other tournamnet with magnitude of IPL because its the first of its kind.

Why are we even bothered in discussing IPL here. I am quite confident that with 2 years the situation in Pakistan would be back to normal and we can have our own PPL (as planned earlier). There are loads of billionaire who are ready to buy these franchises.

I would advise PCB to take firm stance, you have a backing of 170 mln people. Period.

That wont help. We should stop relaying on ICC, thats what I think, we were about to ban ICC from asia when the Darrell Hair controversy started with Pakistan. ICC is just run by racist Aussies and its about time we move away from them. Whats the point of taking the event away from Pakistan, where on earth is there example such as that. Its like spitting on the dead of Pakistan, the Munich Olympic in 72 saw the most horrific slaughter of innocent athletes, did they stop the Olympics and take it away from the host, no they didn't they stood with them in spirit, the Cricket world cup will help boost Pakistani morale and they (ICC) want to isolate Pakistan from Cricket. If ICC does take this venue away from Pakistan you are going to see great shifts away from ICC we will choke them.

The reason why you haven't see what you write is that there is no country in the world who has elections on the magnitude & scale as India does. It took almost a month to conduct it ( 7 phases I think). BCCI is not a govt body hence this tournament is not a Govt run either threrfore national requirements take precedence.

You can stand by your words , the reason is plain to see.

It took almost a month to conduct it ( 7 phases I think). BCCI is not a govt body hence this tournament is not a Govt run either threrfore national requirements take precedence.

They could have postponed the IPL, what If the worlcup was due in those similar dates? You are entitled to your own POV but for me Its a shame. Things could have managed in a better way.
