Keep it under control and stop throwing tantrums because you can't refute an argument.
Pity you still could not make out that I did refute your argument.
That is precisely the point about the other boards being greedy comes in - the other boards have a clear conflict of interest in insisting that Pakistan not host any matches
This part is untrue. It is given that Pakistan cannot host any matches in case you did not realise this yet.
and that it be denied the right to determine where those matches are held. Pakistan is contesting the decision to allocate the matches to the other hosts without consulting it.
They would have allowed that in case PCB is prospering from the decision. But no no one is really getting anything from hosting them in UAE(not in terms of home ground advantage and such immeasurable things).
It was clear for them that PCB is cockblocking them.
And the only arguments we have read from the other boards are that 'the matches should be held in the subcontinent' - that's argument makes no sense since Asia won the bid, not the subcontinent, and the other boards face no loss since none of the matches they were allotted are affected.
Are they going to say publicly 'We dont want the money to go out?'. The sub-continent funda actually sounds like this. Thats how news get realeased. They talk of grand reasons. Anyway are we supposed to believe that monetary considerations are not the one that made it done?
But see here PCB has good reasons to highlight(in case they really discovered the reasons you gave), all of them are like for spectator(even if it is only for Pakistani spectators) comfort, easy visas etc., Why do they talk of conspiracies?
Let ME make it s imple for you
The PCB was allotted 14 matches after being the second largest contributor to a joint bid to host the 2011 WC against a very strong challenge from Aus/NZ. The PCB is the one losing revenue and the right to host matches it earned, not the BCCI or other 2 boards. The PCB is merely asking for the right to host the matches that it earned the right to host at venues of its choosing.
How from this you can extrapolate that the PCB is being 'obstructionist' you have as of you been incapable of illustrating.
If PCB was thinking of hosting the matches in UAE before the joint bid, the others would not have allowed PCB to do that. Do you agree with that?
Why is that? Because the basic meaning of host is lost.
Here we see the meaning has been lost. Worse if PCB had negotiated the hosting deal with UAE in advance they would have been in a stronger position. Now they have their hair in UAE baords hands. So they are not going to earn much either. Why dont they let others host then?
'Losing' wrt PCB is meaningless now. It already happened. Now the other boards have to choose if they take these up or loose them for a new guy. What is more reasonable for them?
There is no such 'assumption', stop making things up.
)
OK I correct my words. Say the assumption was that each board will help others prosper.
Well no one could have expected Pakistan to lose hosting rights either.
The other co-hosts were never supposed to get these 14 matches, so the argument of them losing revenue or profits does not arise - they only stand to gain in addition to the existing profits and revenues from their allotment of matches.
Don't come up with Strawman arguments - I have not said anything about the UAE being a 'brother'. Quit distorting and making things up.
Thats not meant for you.
The arguments in favor of the UAE offering home field advantage are pretty clear, as I pointed out in my earlier post.
Money counts. Tourism counts. Not home field advantage especially when that is a surrogate.
The other hosts are not losing any benefits, Pakistan is, and the other hosts have a clear conflict of interest in seeing Pakistan lose matches.
Here we are again!! Pakistan ALREADY LOST matches. Now they want to spill away the gains for home field advantage(a surrogate one if I may remind you again).
Pakistan did not sign up and help in winning the bid so that its matches could be stripped away either. I don't see the boards respecting the PCB's right to host matches and perhaps competing to host them vs other venues the PCB might consider in the UAE.
Absolutely true. I agree with the first sentence.
There do not exist such thing as rights exactly in such deals especially when such situations arise the rules will end like 'any further decision will be taken by so and so and their decision would be final'. There won't be exactly any rights only leverage.
For the last sentence unfortunately PCB is one board. So the others decide the terms. Seriously I don't understand this word, 'Respect?'.
On one hand you say we have reasons(all the reasons come with a small star which says 'Conditions Apply - surrogate grounds in consideration') that are not considerable for negotiations, on the other you demand respect in spite of your inability.
When PCB cant do something, let the others do. Why act as broker and crave for commissions?
I know I speak only in monetary terms you in comfort levels*(Remember the star?) etc., But I think I am looking at the reasons that matter. And I agree that you have valid reasons* too.
