How the hell can a Muslim be a Rajput?

Rajput, corretly pronounced Rajpoot in itself is a Sankrit word composed of two roots, Raj+Poot,

Raj means royalty

Poot mean son,

Rajpoot means the son of royalty i.e. a Kshatriya.

How can there be a Kshatriya in Islam?

some rajputs converted to islam, but still considered themselves rajputs, while the other hindu rajputs considered them as muslims.... Simple

if you are indian then rajputs are only hindus and some sikhs, while if you are pakistani, then rajputs may as well have been muslim

Whatever they might call themselves, the fact remains that if you are a Muslim, you can't be a Kashatriya, Vaishya, Brahmin or Shoodra.

...unless you want to claim that Islam also borrowed from the caste-ism in Hindu Society.

There r muslim rajputs in india..... infact many muslim rajputs also fought mughals...... for eg: Rana Hassan khan fought babur n died in the battle.

Abdullah Bhatti who fought Akbar who had to shift his capital to lahore frm delhi due to him... etc etc

We are proud of our ancestors and proud of our religion - Rajputs and Jatts actually come from out side of South Asia. And there is no caste system in Pakistan only Baradari.

Whereas in Islam, there is no such thing as a "caste".. However in South Asia you can still see traces of Hindu practices among Muslim, Christian and Sikh converts.

I agree with you there. The only Hindu thing you guys still maintain is the "caste" identification from all four varna groups. But yes I agree we're going a little bit off topic.

Of India's nine projects to build 274 kilometres of rail lines with neighbouring countries at a cost of Rs 2,692 crore, none have found a mention in Banerjee’s budget.

China’s plans are to extend its Tibet rail network by connecting Lhasa with the region’s second largest city of Xiagaze to reach the strategically important Chumbi valley, adjacent to Sikkim and the Siliguri corridor.


“China’s infrastructure thrust along the Indo-China borders will greatly reduce Nepal and Bangladesh's reliance on India for commodities like drugs, transport vehicles, spare parts, cotton textiles and cement", strategic affairs analyst Lt General YM Bammi (retired) feels.

At the transport minister's conference at Colombo in 2008, India had also mooted the grand plan to run a passenger train connecting Dhaka, New Delhi and Lahore.

“None of these projects have moved forward or are likely to for the simple reason that India is not as cash happy as China. Also, the Indian government is unwilling to invest in the railways”, said Sumant Chak of the Asian Institute of Rail Transport.

“Apart from the need for substantial financial outlays for infrastructure, there are many non-financing constraints such as bad quality of engineering and planning at DPR stage that need to be addressed to avoid time and cost over-runs”, says the economic survey report of 2010-11.
