May be in Arabia people used to worship demi Gods. But not in subcontinent rather Egypt was a far better place with lots of innovations and knowledge. Here in India the our concept is clear to us. We are not Jahils like people in Arabia. We know how our rituals are practiced and what is the ritual suited for which ceremony.

You definitely cannot read Namaz e Janaza on some one's wedding. Similary, when you want a specific goal to accomplish you take strength from that particular ritual. Because every manifestation of energy of God goes back to God and you simply cannot say that God will consume all of its energy to accomplish that particular task.


And FYI every ritual mantra/sloka starts with the syllable OM be it any ritual performed for whatever in front of whatever idol or yagna.
We do not praise or keep any rishi/sage/person equivalent to OM. And OM is not equivalent to the ultimate truth which cannot be uttered, seen, or measured. OM is just that particular manifestation of creator's energy when Materialistic Universe came to life.
